So should be going into boxing day looking to maintain a 13 point gap on Leeds and extend to a 9 point gap on Ipswich. This is brilliant.

This.

It's not a major honour.

That's a fact.

Winning any league is a major honour.

tbf, I don’t need to argue about the word ‘major’. It’s the best you can do in any given season.

clubs are judged on silverware hauls, not promotions

It will be a very different game on their patch, but we need to start fast and get an early goal

You can't argue about it. It isn't a major honour.

No, vital is coming top 2 and achieving Premier League status.

You know they've introduced a trophy for coming second too?

Playing in the top division?

That's the aim.

Playing in Europe was the aim. Still didnt stop meltdown galore and bottle job accusations being thrown all over the place because we ended up in the europa league.

the aim should be to win it. Anything else, from this position, is pretty poor.

For me this just means its so important for us to get a win today.

Ipswich will react to this, would take a draw on boxing day.

Missing context that there’s a team a point below us with the 2nd best start in championship history - no?

Villa have had a better start than Man City, does that mean Man City finishing below them wouldn't be a failure.

We have the most expensive squad in the league, highest wage bill and spent the most in the summer and mostly likely strengthen in the winter window.

That's the context.....

Finishing below Ipswich would be a failure.

Just tweeted this to Darren Bent - he’s been too cocky on TS lately. Doubt he’ll respond 😂

Try telling the Players that.

I don't need to.

There are plenty in the squad still that have won a major honour or 2.

The Championship is not a major honour.

This is going exactly how I expected.

Leeds are really up for it, Ipswich not overly bothered.

Just keep winning leicester! Make 1st place our own and let everyone else scrap for leftovers

Leeds have had this in them all season to beat somebody by a fair few goals then go and lose to someone the week after. Concentrate on what we have to do then doesn’t matter what everyone else does

A beating. Cannot help morale for Ipswich. Just hope it doesn’t mean the inverse for Leeds.

It would be typical of this Leeds team to follow today’s performance up with a loss against Preston that causes their fans to have another one of their collective mental breakdowns.

Oh yes it is!

1st or 2nd it doesn't matter but I think Southampton, Leeds and Ipswich will be worrying about each other more than us.

That's why it's better if we can just maintain a good lead over all 3

The worst thing about this result is that this place will be an absolute pit if we don't beat them.

This is what I love about FT. Posters showing themselves to be wrong and then repeating it over and over and over and over again. Brilliant stuff.
