I am very worried about next season. We will be building almost an entire team out of new signings and crud that we can’t get rid of, we have no money, no manager, and our DoF is crap.

Although the club will be the biggest name in the Championship, the actual playing staff has become a shambles and the recruitment team haven’t signed anyone decent for several seasons.

What a pointless poll we don't have a manager or any players who knows where we will finish at the moment.

That’s the point, we don’t have a manager or any players….

The poll is basically ‘do you think Rudkin and Top will get the summer right?’

Depends whether the club goes balls out for a big spend on new players and a big manager plus backup team. It’s a game of chance.

Personally I think we’ll be terribly inconsistent, get off to a poor start, recover to Christmas and slide back in the second half. 12th for me and a major let down

Like the Sven era?

If I had to be so specific, I'd expect a slightly rushed rebuild, too many high profile loans, not as much reinvestment as we'd like, lots of last minute wheeling and dealing. No time for anything to settle. A new manager who shared many of the last manager's ideals, perhaps.

Beyond that, if I allow myself to get carried away, I wouldn't be surprised by a slow start, fan frustration, and eventually a reluctant board making another change by early 2024. We'll finally realise that we need to re-evaluate things and have a bit of patience, and go up a year or two later.

And it's also highly likely, based on past credentials, that I'm wrong.

Squad wise are we in a much difficult situation than in 2004. When we got relegated back then we seem to manage to keep most of our players. Only Paul Dickov, Les Ferdinand and Muzzy Izzett left the club.

Marcus Bent left too, well returned from his loan. He was excellent from what I remember. And Danny Coyne, shame our Welsh second keeper can’t leave as well.

By default, expecting a mass exodus and still not appointed a manager, I cannot give us any higher than top half in our current state. Could well go down in my current estimations if we continue to drag our heels on the managerial front.

This is an impossible question when you have no idea who will even make over half of the team sheet or who will be managing them. As things stand with maybe 6 regular first team players left we might do OK in a 5 a side league. Maybe they can all go trans and we could cream the ladies super league?

There's so much to sort out on and off the field. Will Top, Rudkin and Susan have learnt from past mistakes? Will they all still be here?

Will we get a capable manager any time soon? Will Martyn Glover actually be a success, his record is patchy at best and Dean Smith appearingly didn't rate Souttar or Kristiansen, so that's not a good start if he gets the gig full time.

Will we have gotten to the bottom of our chronic injury issues in the 1st team and academy? It seems like it runs much deeper than Brendan Rodgers training methods and I hope part of the enquiry in to what's gone wrong, stretches to Seagrave, the training facilities and the like.

Next season will be relentless and we might have to work with a smaller squad but still play 50+ games. The academy pipeline through to the 1st team is therefore crucial, and yet they've also just got relegated so it's not the most promising of possibilities.

Recent history suggests at least one team has a run at promotion after starting the season pretty shoddily, so you could argue we don't have to hit the ground running and pre-season be the foundation for success but those teams that do go on a run and come up such as Villa, Forest, Luton with special mentions to the improvement from Cov, Middlesborough and West Brom last season, all of them weren't in their first season back in the Championship and if we start really badly then the mood around the place will be hell on earth. No environment for a quick turnaround, put it that way.

So having a late gander round south east asia a week or so before the start of a brutal season back in the football league suggests we aren't yet at the point of having a robust and calculated road map out of this mess and back to trying to fulfill our ambitions of being a self sustainable PL club for decades to come.

My prediction is 10th.

Guessing play-offs but, with our Club and current upheaval, no manager etc we would finish in any position and you wouldn't be that surprised.

Anywhere between 8th & 14th, incompetent board, we will need roughly 10 new players and we have a dof who’s unable to work on more than one transfer at a time.

People saying we will have one of the biggest budgets in the league. That might be true but if our recent signings are anything to go by we are going to have more misses than hits.

If you believe the rumours we have a board who see no issues. Likely get Smith in late. Not get enough in over the line and those here lacking it fitness.

A crap hangover over the fanbase will persist. We will struggle.

I voted relegation. While all others are planning, negotiating improving, developing academies we are still moaning about what mythical magical manager will transform our results on an unknown squad where everyone is for sale. I just think we’re a big name now and are heading for an almighty bitch slapping. Please don’t berate me, last time I vowed we’ll go down we won the prem😆

Potter's giving us the brush-off more than a dodgy pint, and Gerard and Lampard are on our radar? Seems we're booking a one-way ticket on the Relegation Express!

Top half but I don't see an instant return to the PL unless we recruit a better keeper and perhaps a couple of decent loans from PL clubs. Midfield is the main concern.
