Everyone believes absolutely everything they hear in the media when it suits, but then is quick to say its all bullshit when it doesn't fit their negative, whingy agenda.

But he is unwanted at Wolves and wasn't  that successful at Everton plus there isn't any other club after him..... surely because of that we could have got a better deal say 4m

Apparently he turned down prem offers.

He is still a quality defender at prem level.

Even then are we not able to sell him on or loan him out if we get promoted?

A lot of money for a bit of back up. 
 

It’s highly likely he’s going to be on a decent wage here given we’ve beaten PL clubs to the signature. So it won’t be easy to shift.

Just seeing the effort and passion he put into Everton’s last game against Bournemouth when only being a loan player shows why he is the type of signing we need.

Probably paying too much for him but I would rather have him in a championship scrap than Faes or Evans

We used to be positive. There was a time when we all though Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard were sensible signings.

 

At one point we were 2-0 up against Napoli, an electric team that went on to win Serie A and get to the Quarter Finals of the Champions League. It has literally all been downhill since then. That's why we are all burnt out and massively negative. 

 

I think we are over paying for players, but we are doing it to get it done quickly so Maresca can get to work with the team ASAP. We have learned from last year where we took too long to ship out Fofana and couldn't rejuvenate the squad. Of course this has different types of problems. It's probably the way to go for now though.
