Yes, but sometimes players give so much and years to one club that it takes time to adjust when they suddenly move to another club.... maybe that's why he struggled at Everton.

Hopefully he'll get rid of the Wolves boold inside of him when he ones to Leicester

Ah. I see what you mean now! My bad, you do have a point, but I think he'll still be a good signing

Decent signing but too much for someone with zero resale value. Rudkin strikes again!

If he helps leads us to promotion it worth while.

Great signing. Forget the 7.5 million price tag.

It'll be well worth it when we get promoted.

Make no mistake about it Coady is good enough to be playing in the the Premier League week in week out.

£8m for a England international who is a proven leader is peanuts.

Rudkin at it again. Being taken to the cleaners.

Equally you think we wouldn’t spend a bean last summer and here we are now spending £7.5m on a 30 yr old

This. Massively this, do not get the too expensive argument.

£2m a year when it’s amortised.

Please tell me you’re joking? £8m ish for a player of his experience? **** me……

Why would that be a joke? Look at the Wolves reaction. They were expecting about 2/3mil.

In the context of the whole summer it's not going to kill us, but we've cut a corner on this one make no mistake. Four years at his age too. Ooft.

Can the mods boot out anyone who isn’t happy with this - 7.5m absolute peanuts - quality edition and captain at this level - superb business - viva la rebuild

We make a really good signing and all people can do is moan about the fee … it’s not your money is it! We are going to be losing more players for a lot more than we sign coady for

In todays world of mad transfer fees it’s a good deal.

Reported fees are often wrong. I don’t think we would have paid that for him, but I’m glad we’ve signed him. Finally a vocal leader in the building.

I think we probably would have. What people aren’t understanding is that the 4.5m for everton was on top of the loan fee they paid which was likely around 5m.

So from wolves view that was probably getting almost 10m but everton didn’t want to pay the extra.

Four years on his deal?

Feckin hell. The success of the deal pins on us being promoted. So everything goes great we get promoted and then we saddled with a borderline PL standard player for 3 years

Agree Wolves fans online seem to be happy there getting a big fee for him.....they thought he'd only go for 3 to 4m max

...it makes you wonder what happened to Wout Faes, as when he came he appeared to be someone to pick up the mantle and lead this group!!!

He has subsequently turned himself, in a very short time, into a one-man, Keystone Cops sketch.

Oh and 7.5m is 25% of a faes or soumare - think about that for a minute- what a great bit of business

Agree..

A good signing imo.

Just the sort of character we need in the squad and that was severely lacking last season!!
