Everton had already paid a massive loan fee, the £4.5m was smaller than the loan fee which I think was around £8m. So technically would have cost them £12.5m

There's not a chance Everton paid £8m for one season. 12 month loan fees are often around £2-3m.

If he's any good why don't everton or wolves want him?

Both play a back 4 now don't they? Coady only really works in a back 3.

I'd be happy with a back 3 actually, especially if it means we can utilise Ricardo, Justin, Kristiansen and.... nope, just those 3 (soz Thomas) as flying wing backs.

Hopefully he's still got enough gas in his tank for us......he's given alot to Wolves, hopefully he'll get Foxes blood inside of him now.....even through his Everton loan didn't go well

He's 30 not 39! He should be fine.

Great business.

That's too expensive again. I think it's a knock on effect from desperation. We were always going to cut a corner or ten.

Yes, but sometimes players give so much and years to one club that it takes time to adjust when they suddenly move to another club.... maybe that's why he struggled at Everton.

Hopefully he'll get rid of the Wolves blood inside of him when he moves to Leicester

Yup thought Everton did have a clause of 4.5m  and they still didn't want him🤔

I'm sure it will get negotiated.

You need him more than we need to sell him for that money. Don't forget Everton paid a loan fee on top of their £4.5m option. That would have been a couple of million no doubt.

...you would think the price would have been the first thing that had been thrashed out!!!

The likelihood of the sale of Maddison is going to add a few more ££ on prices, £8m is not a great sum, but it becomes that if we are being played.

I wouldn’t say it’s expensive really not when you consider he is an England international and still only 30.
