JJ goes round in circles. How is any playing receiving the ball meant to anticipate anything he is going to do properly, and he can see Ayew is being tracked. It's made worse by the fact the pass he makes to Ayew is slow which gives the attacker everything he needs to press aggressively. You can see Ayew indicated to go long as well. It's a complete cluster from JJ.

I agree JJ going round in circles and not just getting rid or putting ball out is all on him. But he did make a pass (not a good 1) so ayew should be able to anticipate opposing player closing him down (as I think he does as he tries to block him off) I just think if ayew went to the ball instead of trying to let the ball roll by and turn then maybe that could of stopped the goal.

JJ is more to blame that is obvious but also ayew is to blame too

Im struggling to see why Ayew is to blame. Firstly, the ball to Justin isn't really that difficult for him to deal with. Justin has several opportunities to get rid including early on on his left foot. After going around in circles, Justin can see Ayew is being pressed and gives him a really, really weak pass that plays into the Villa players hands. If you are Ayew, you are probably wondering if / when JJ was planning to do anything and must have become impossible to anticipate.  Lastly, JJ pulls out of giving away a foul as he must have assumed it was too close to the box and could have been a penalty. It's all on JJ that one, and just a collection of brain farts.

Ayew definitely has to take some responsibility for Villa’s 2nd goal. The goal was probably 70% down to JJ with a stupid pass having spurned endless options to clear or pass (even Ayew had told him to clear it,) BUT Ayew should’ve received that pass, instead he tried an obvious and lazy dummy, trying to let the ball cross his path rather than moving towards the ball, allowing the Villa player who was further away from the ball to steal in ahead of him. Poor from both players.

Send him on holiday for a couple of weeks and let him try and get some confidence back afterwards. Maybe when he plays again it might be at left back.

Right... I've calmed down.

Its simple, the lads bang out of form and has been off it all season. Experienced pros like Cooper and RVN should be recognising this and taking him out the firing line for a while, they could argue they haven't got anyone else in that position to replace him.

Cooper had Ricardo rotting on the bench for weeks, so no sympathy for him,.

RVN deal with it... Cant keep subjecting the lad to this, it will relegate us and could ruin his career! Make a bloody change.... Hamza, Skipp, play 3 at the back.... Just change it!

If I remember rightly, rb was a problem for us in 2014. By no means to the level of Justin who is suffering at the moment but both De Laet and Simpson struggled in 2014 at times. Albrighton switched into the wing back role towards the end and we went to a back 3.

Justin might not even need dropping and a switch in formation. Something needs to happen for the next game.

Ruud needs to find a way of getting him out of the team. If that means square pegs in round holes then its worth a go.

I do worry that we've missed opportunities in 'free hits' to experiment a little with 5 at the back, or someone else at RB. Now we enter an absolutely crucial run of games with only QPR at home to try something new.

Might be wrong or blinkered due to how he’s playing at the minute but playing left back he seems to have had his best games.

I 100% agree, but there is literally no one else available. Maybe an academy kid, but that comes with risk in a team who are struggling. However, I think we’re now at the point - like Ward - where a change is needed even if it’s an unproven kid.

I’ve just seen this, and while 3 or 4 are harsh to lay at JJs door the rest aren’t. It’s quite unbelievable really. I really do think we’d be mid table with a competent right back. What on earth has happened to him.

Re this goals compilation and the evolving versions of it throughout the season you are aware that your opposition study you in minute detail looking for weaknesses in the days leading up to a game, you can be sure they didn't even have to try to conclude and back up this weakness with high resolution detail, 3D graphics or hairline lines it's so blatant and so obvious they've been exploiting it week in week out, I know exactly what I'd be telling my side leading up to facing Leicester, it's not even a fine detail, it's a massive chasm where a defender should be present.

If that's true (I haven't watched it) then that's good news as it is easily remedied.  New RB.

if my memory is correct when he got into the England team and also when he got injured he was playing left back.

He was embarrassingly poor for England

He was Substituted early for his one and only cap.No further call ups

Let's count how many are actually his errors and not a result of cooper having him play RB and RW.

People have convinced themselves into seeing something that isn't there. Amount of times he's got 2 people on his side because Ayew and Fatawu have offered no protection, or he's running back after helping support the attack.

There's probably 3 or 4 genuine mistakes in there. The rest are either system, multiple players not doing their jobs or just good play.

He played the whole of the 1st half and replaced for the 2nd by Saka not sure that’s embarrassing, 17mins later the gr8 TAA was replaced by James Reece.

we lost that game in the 2nd half & he was well out of the return game when they stuffed us 0:4, maybe he should have played 😉

He's a honest champonship level player like the majority of the squad.Hard work but limited ability and poor awareness.Hence no further caps.

Took me a few seconds to work out who James Reece was

No way I'm watching that, PTSD from his mistakes this season is bad enough as it is

That video got on my tits at the time and still does, not the mistakes but the fact it exists. "Enjoy as I went through a lot of mental pain making this" like he didn't cobble it together of his own volition on a Saturday night.

He's managed to make me, a man with over 30,000 posts on popular family friendly foxes forum FoxesTalk feel slightly less pathetic about myself which takes some doing

Sweet redemption! Glad for jj

he needs it for confidence. Still think he needs a break from playing but Ruud knows best

At least now with Woyo coming in (we think) he’ll have competition for the shirt, and that alone might make some difference to his performance levels
