Personally I never understood the calls for him to play for England when he was at Wolves, granted he was okay there but mainly in a sweeper role in a back three.

The fact we paid £7.5m for him, at 30/31 years of age, was a joke. Another stupid decision where we will just lose on him without him really contributing to us.

We paid 8m for Ayew who is 3 years older lol

Ridiculous isn't it. I want to know what goes through these people's head's at the club when they sanction these deals.

This bloke talks the talk but is another crap player on the pitch. Less talking and maybe focus more on performing on the pitch?

Paying him mega bucks to commentate on the good old days and how well the squad get on together.

He's got the next stage of his career lined up. Fair play to him for getting a decent salary whilst preparing for that. Relegation with us won't harm his pundit ambitions, and he will still get paid no matter what.

Honest but it's just words at this stage. There's got to be a monumental change of attitude over the next two or three games to make me believe anyone in this team has the stones to help us stay up.

I'm not knocking him for that tbf, he's looking after himself. But it's annoying he's taking mega bucks from us (our own fault for handing it out) whilst being worse than average on the pitch. Fed up of seeing him talking the talk whilst we get beat every week.

Said it already, he's a talker.  Look at the latest video of Ruud taking the training. Who is there having a chat with him while they're tying up their boots?

He gets in the managers ear and talks himself in.  That's why someone like Okoli, who I'll assume is quieter and isn't putting himself in front of Ruud outside the training pitch is overlooked for the yes man.  You've likely seen them in your own workplace.  They talk a great game.

The signing somewhat made sense at the time, we had lacked on field leadership, however that doesn’t mean you have to offer a 3 year deal and ridiculous wages, why not offer a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd year based on hitting certain performance targets.

Also offer a reasonable wage but again heavily incentivise it so again the player is rewarded if they and the team are performing.

At the moment, all I see is a player on the decline who spends more time preparing for his move into the media at the end of his career and offering sound bites that the players are all a band of brothers and yet every matchday they look anything but.

I thought he was on a 2 year deal. We gave him 3?!! Dear God.

Still convinced he's only cares about being an ex Leicester player pundit option after football while simultaneously going on some bantz podcast about the wild shitshow stories about this season as if he wasn't part of it.

Coady, Vestergaard, Choudhury, Ndidi, McAteer and Reid all given 3 year contracts/extensions within the last 18 months, completely brainless.

All fart no sh*t.

I don't think there is much fart either to be fair.

I now get visibly irritated when i hear him shouting shit at everyone during the warmup. Its like hes watched some bull5hit motivational video on youtube and convinced all the quiet people around him he's some sort of leader. 'Focus! Intensity! Passion!'. A few of the players clearly want to thump him. Just the worst type of gobshite who is nowhere near good enough.

Ayew had been contributing meaningfully for a PL side for a while Coady was shunned at Wolves then at Everton when we took mercy. Big difference.
