He's been nailed on to sign for just about the whole 18 days.

Not doubting him signing, it's how many more medicals and Fabrizio tweets we need to endure in the process.

It's pretty hard to get excited about any signing because the bottom line is that if they were that good, they wouldn't come to the Championship - but hey.

... sometimes there are different avenues to get to the same destination!!!

The more astute ones would look at a more long-term and beneficial approach to go to a team in the second tier, develop within a positive framework, with a team that is said to be odds on for promotion back to the top tier. The thought could also be, this is a great chance to play in the Premier League, so an offer from a top Tier club does not come too often so I have to take it. It is pretty short-term, if you struggled in the top tier and become relegated, you may have a problem getting noticed for some time and labelled as not good enough.

 Different ways to get there.

We haven't signed anyone who's off the radar like he was, in fact we haven't signed or been linked to anyone who's 'unheard of'.

I know what you're saying but there are good players out there who could do well under a good coach in a good system. Scouting & development are some of the most important facets of any club.

Fair point,  but he was plucked out of nowhere.

Everyone we are linked with or have brought are rejects of other clubs.

Wasn't it said we won the league with rejects and journeymen and nobodies

Again ... Not wishing to be a total dick but Jamie Vardy had more rejection slips than Brendan had excuses .

Due for his 4th medical tomorrow :fc:

I believe they've had a slightly longer than expected wait until the stitches were removed from his recent heart transplant before the medical could be completed.

I’ve heard the delay is due to him swapping knees with Fofana

Are we arranging a boat for him or just getting him on one of the scheduled dinghies?

Rudders on his way to collect him....

Don't worry, Not to put a curse on him, But I'm sure he'll be injured in the first few games, Such is our luck lately.

After the initial flurry of 'who he' posts when the thread went up on the 10th, there was a tweet posted claiming a breakthrough in talks (so, not close to 'nailed on') on the 19th. That's just over a week ago. It's hardly 'dragged on'
