Nah, they were just shit players which doesn't make them shit captains. Evans was a great player but a truly dreadful captain.

I get what u mean buddy....however imo he will be available a lot more for manure than he was when having similar niggles with us :S

I really hope our offer has been withdrawn. Would not be a good signal to the rest of the squad if he's allowed to waltz back in after not getting a better offer.

It’s a funny one isn’t it? Genuinely one of the best defenders we have ever had when at his peak but I hold almost no affection for him. I can’t even fully explain why.  I just feel he didn’t care about relegation. He really was not a very good captain at all. I don’t think ill of him, I wish him the best, but for some reason I just can’t really like him very much.

What strikes me there (and I was aware of the incident as far as Evans was concerned) is the other players involved. All 4 are and were at that time, senior players who should have been setting an example. Embarrassing for all of them!
