Loan deal would be better than a permanent at this stage, at least he can settle and then can’t play against us. They are 12 points behind us, but his arrival would significantly improve them.

Bit like calling West Ham Man City's title rival, as there is a similar gap in points.

 

I would worry about Leeds, but more about raising funds..or allowing Ben Nelson to be more involved in the first team by moving Souttar on.

Paid 15m in this financial year for him - depreciated to 12m now - if we accepted less than 12m it books as a loss in this financial year every penny under that and actually makes the p&l worse - if we loan him it doesn’t as still on books at that value - he isn’t out of contract in the summer so doesn’t walk anywhere for free - just accounting and would be worth less depreciation wise in summer and different financial year so would sell then - that’s what iv read anyway - complicated - yep

Pretty sure they'd subcontract out to a medical team with local facilities in the area. Video calling/Teams etc, it could all surely be done remotely

Depends really, are you willing to trust a subcontractor to carry out the medical of a £10-15m purchase?

Unless we carried out impairment of player values like previous relegated clubs, which changes player amortisation figures.

Roberts is a full back so it doesn't necessarily mean Souttar to Leeds definitely won't happen. But I think it's unlikely to happen.
