Decent player but wouldn't be too much of a loss. Doubt it's true, though
JimJams Posted 30 January 2024 Posted 30 January 2024 So the only team with any interest in him is also a team that can only spend less than us. 3
Lambert09 Posted 30 January 2024 Posted 30 January 2024 it’s not realistic for him to leave this window.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 30 January 2024 Posted 30 January 2024 Obviously not going to happen in the next 48 hours with him being half-way around the world at the moment.
Finnegan Posted 30 January 2024 Posted 30 January 2024 Don't think Everton can afford, given their financial situation, to pay the money that we'd need them to pay for it to beneficial for us to sell him. It'd have to just be a loan with them taking him off our wage bill. 1

Sly Posted 30 January 2024 Posted 30 January 2024 Joking aside, Everton have a good chance of staying up, even with a 15 point deduction. If they think they have a CB since of pushing further up the table by an overspend, do they just bite the bullet and pay the £15m to sign him? They’ve shed a lot of wages, it’s just how the accounts look in the back ground.

HybridFox Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 We shouldn't be giving anything to Everton. It's in our interests for them to come down!

Muzzy_no7 Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 To be fair he’s be good for them and makes a lot of sense. Id take 7.5m

If the club need to make a sale to buy anyone, the sale has to be for a fee that doesn't book us a loss for doing so. We paid £15m for Souttar and there's £12m left on his amortised value. We have to sell for £12m or more. 6
egg_fried_rice Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 It'd have to be a loan. They ain't gonna pay what we need to sell (~13m + I think so it's not registered as a loss) - especially when they can't give him a proper medical with their own team because he's the other side of the planet.
LVFox Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 Would 100% be a loan, but I wouldn't be against it, think he would impress and boost our chances of a sale in the summer far more than being 5th choice here! Big Ben Nelson has jumped him in the pecking order for me. 1
Chelmofox Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 Whats more fun than getting relegated once? 2

He's in Qatar not really the other side of the world is it? Also he could easily do a medical over there, if Shef U were serious they could fly someone out there in 9 hours

Fox92 Posted 31 January 2024 Posted 31 January 2024 Why are people saying he would he be good for them? They're rubbish and he isn't great.
