Problem is we can't exactly give him a good run of games because the two in front of him (Faes and Vestergaard) don't deserve to be dropped

Add to that, Nelson is starting to make a fair challenge for that RCB slot.

I'm sure Coady would like & probably expected a regular spot but Faes & Vesty have played too well for Souttar or Coady to get much of a chance.

According to Goodison News,

"Everton transfer news: Surprise Harry Souttar deal with Leicester City on cards"

Probably suits Everton's style more than our's. Decent player but wouldn't be too much of a loss.

Doubt it's true, though

Don't think Everton can afford, given their financial situation, to pay the money that we'd need them to pay for it to beneficial for us to sell him.

It'd have to just be a loan with them taking him off our wage bill.

Joking aside, Everton have a good chance of staying up, even with a 15 point deduction.

If they think they have a CB since of pushing further up the table by an overspend, do they just bite the bullet and pay the £15m to sign him?

They’ve shed a lot of wages, it’s just how the accounts look in the back ground.

We shouldn't be giving anything to Everton. It's in our interests for them to come down!

They arent going down. Scrap for absolutely everything unlike our jokers last season

It'd have to be a loan. They ain't gonna pay what we need to sell (~13m + I think so it's not registered as a loss) - especially when they can't give him a proper medical with their own team because he's the other side of the planet.

Would 100% be a loan, but I wouldn't be against it, think he would impress and boost our chances of a sale in the summer far more than being 5th choice here!

Big Ben Nelson has jumped him in the pecking order for me.

He's in Qatar not really the other side of the world is it? Also he could easily do a medical over there, if Shef U were serious they could fly someone out there in 9 hours

Whats more fun than getting relegated once?

He was also relegated with Ross County in 2018 while on the books at Stoke who were relegated the same season.

Fancies his 4th.

No chance. If the club need to make a sale to buy anyone, the sale has to be for a fee that doesn't book us a loss for doing so. We paid £15m for Souttar and there's £12m left on his amortised value. We have to sell for £12m or more.

It depends on whether we did impairment of player values in the 22/23 accounts which would reduce his amortised value.
