Still very early doors and by no means am I saying we will win the league but I always say a sign of champions is to play poorly and come out with the 3 points.

That’s the positive I’ll be taking from this start, still lots to do and areas need improvement but we’re winning games and that’s all that’s needed at the end of the day.

Interesting that he picked 2 keepers as subs! Like Brendan did last year. This suggests he’s not having Daka, Castagne, Souttar, Soumare etc. However, it looks like the team he is choosing are progressing and are learning the Enzo style.

I don’t think we have much of a squad depth. We didn’t put certain players on the bench today cos they will hopefully be sold etc.

As a result we had two keepers on the bench

We do have Coady, Braybrooke & Alves returning from long term injuries, well before Christmas. Bring in a couple more & we aren’t far off.

l get your point though & I’m sure Meresca has said something on the lines of he wants at least 4 more in.

You know for such a defensively frail team, with one of the worst defenders ever to pull on a shirt play for all three games… it’s surprising how we’ve only let in 1 goal?

Anyone would think maybe our fans are a little bit dramatic?

Sorry if this has been mentioned but if it has I missed it, but did Enzo elaborate as to the reasons why Daka, Souttar, Castagne and more importantly McAteer were absent from the Matchday squad

If Castange, Daka and Soumare are all on the way out, you'd like to think we'll recoup between £20-£30m at least, another couple of loan signings and maybe 1 or 2 permanent signings in the next couple of weeks.

All depends on who we shift I suppose. I'm sure we've put our feelers out there, and if we're bringing Casadei and hopefully Rak-Sakyi we could see another attacker and CB by September 1st.

We need to because the championship is relentless and with the tactical style we're playing it does rely heavily on rotation with certain types of player coming in and out of the team depending on how we approach it game on game.

The 11 we put our yesterday was probably our strongest 11 available as it stands. Obviously the keeper will change depending on how long Mads is out for and Coady for Vestegaard. Even with the addition of another winger I still expect McAteer and Marcel to feature quite heavily this season. KDH will probably feature more often than not, so will be interesting too see how we rotate him with Nididi, Praet and Casadei (if he does come) Winks will probably be the 1st name on the team sheet, so it'll be the 2 in front of him that change.

Although this is clearly a Man City style of play, we don't have a Haaland, so our front 3 needs to be more fluid and Praet will need to add more goals to his game, his miss yesterday was more than disappointing, he really should have buried that.

I said before the season kicked off we lack that killer instinct in the final 3rd and most games we win will be by 1 goal and that's what we need to add.

But having said that, I'm sure we will add where we need to and so far, although it's far too early to make a fair judgement, I'm happy with how we've started and what we're trying to do

There are more than a few that are, but we do still look a little frail at the back at times. Vestergaard fits this style because we dominate the ball, and he is actually a decent ball player, but when the pressure comes we do still look like we struggle with who does what and where they should be. Hopefully Coady is back sooner rather than later because he's very vocal and should hopefully go some way to sorting this problem out.

What our fans definitely have to get used to is long periods of the game being "boring"

The tempo won't change, the urgency won't change. Enzo has a style and he's going to stick with it, he's giving us an identity and more often than not, it's not going to change. The team will be patient and pick off teams when the time is right, fans need to get on board with that

Hoping we can offload Daka very soon.

Those heady days when we would have 30% possession and absolutely terrorise teams. Fond memories.

Think we will by the end of the window.

We need a couple more sales too generate funds.

I expect the minimum of an 8 and two wingers to arrive, maybe a striker in Daka goes.

Excellent day out, and some quality performances although vestigaard looking like a walking hand grenade that could go off anytime.

Also funny seeing that gobby clown get flattened then I assume get nicked on the walk back. Trains were shocking and genuinely felt sorry for any public that had to share that journey back. Some people really need to get some class.

Think Choudary also deserves a mention at the end when he made a few players come over to the away end and show their appreciation

We are a winger and a midfielder short of this all coming together very nicely, on early showings and I do worry about our forward options, especially if anything should keep either Vardy or Kel out for a period of time.

Yes, totally agree - but the flip side is we are a couple of long term injuries away (Winks and Ricardo) from it being derailed. Personally feel Harry Winks is so important to this system and at present there isn't an understudy who could step into this role until Braybrooke is fit. Nonetheless, things are looking bright for us this year.

I didn't see yesterday. But what I do know is that winning can become a mindset / habit. As much as losing can. Grinding results out only bouys morale and nurtures that winning belief. So it's been a very positive start to the season. Even if we are still developing and have obvious deficits.

That's where I think the problem for quite a few will be.

We were treated to a 'bore-fest' most weeks under the odious little cretin Rodgers, and to see a similar style still being adopted is a bit grating.

I appreciate that Enzo's version is more affective, even now I can see the ethos behind it, but I do fear that if / when we get the missing creative midfielder, right winger and hopefully a new forward and Enzo's idea and vision finally clicks into place, we should become more affective at this style of play and the wins will continue to come, but boredom will still be there due to the patient build up required for it to work.

Hopefully for me, the arrival of the new players will unlock the system and allow the currently slow build up and sometimes stalling  in forward movement to evolve and increase in pace, mainly due to the currently missing creativity now being available.

Yes we all want to win each week, and yes we all want out of this god forsaken league ASAP, but personally I also watch our matches to be entertained and this brand of football sorry just doesn't do it for me on that front.

But until the transfer window closes and our new identity finally unfolds and we see the final end product ( we've seen glimpse's, of it and when its done well and at pace we have been great to watch, and I've been very much entertained ,so I do have hope)  we need to be patient..

Seems that's your weak mentality not the teams

Went 1 down against Coventry and went on to win. I would hope our mentality is stronger this season than last

under Rodgers, we have a new manager who I don't think will let that happen.
