Things that you prefer about the championship

Don't get me wrong, I want to get promoted but there are things about the championship that I prefer. 

 

No VAR

Not having to pay attention to Sky's love-in with the same 6 or 7 clubs. 

Not having to listen to low IQ pundits talking about our club when they don't know the first thing about us.

No VAR, I’ve celebrated all 3 goals in the league without that nagging feeling it’ll get chalked off for an offside that happened 2 minutes before. I’ve really missed that feeling

I think you can really feel connected to your club. I already feel that back in the championship after several years of feeling cold.

This and more passionate fans at the grounds. No one that supports championship teams are glory supporters like Man City for example.

Championship is a hard, gritty league but part of me loves it.

Specific to us, but in our first two games we have handed out three competitive debuts to players who have come through our academy. I accept that it's more to do with injuries and signings that are still to be made.

Looking at the league table at just after 5pm on a Saturday and everyone has played their games.

I love not knowing how good or shit the opposition is before the match. It adds a warm touch of anxiety to the occasion. 

 

Also, even if you think you know, some team of cloggers sat in 23rd will still rock up and duff you 4-1.

It used to be it was easier to get hold of tickets late doors, which helps if you have shift jobs that mean you don't always know your work calendar 10 months in advance.  Not sure if that will be the case now with the pricing/eTicket bobbins.

 

I love a weekday evening game too, so the increase in them is always good.
