God commentators talking about penalties annoys me like nothing else. Bellingham and Kovacic took identical penalties.

 

Bellinghams was an incredible fantastic pen and Kovacic's was rubbish lol

Amazing to think on paper that Real Madrid side is far the from greatest we've seen in years yet they managed  to find a way to get past Manchester City. The atmosphere at the etihad was terrible nothing inspiring from the crowd to lift the team.

If there’s any thing you can bet on is if you don’t finish Madrid off when you have the chances they will inevitably rob you blind by the final whistle. They’ve done it to everyone they’ve played against in the past 8+ years.

Kevin da boiler missing that chance which is 95% of the time buries was the moment they would have killed Madrid in regulation time. How costly was that?

They got a collection of the best youngsters in the world. They're second best in the world behind Man City imo.

It is funny listening to the likes of Merson and Sherwood talk about the english teams, you'd think it was a foregone conclusion (no office jokes) they would win.  Sherwood calling the french league micky mouse before PSG dumped out Barcelona, Merson saying Man city's only competition is arsenal as they and man city both get knocked out.

 

Well thanks to them and english teams often getting over hyped I had a double on Bayern and Real madrid to progress...so thanks.

They're just your run of the mill ex-pro's who feel like they have a elevated status of knowledge just because of that. But if they do, they don't show it. 

 

I know Merson has/had his problems away from football but I genuinely feel like Sky have kept him on out of pity. He's actually a really bad pundit - doesn't care for players names, thinks it's funny when he gets them wrong, terrible on Soccer Saturday when it comes to actually explaining what's happened. 

 

Sherwood is worse. Comes across as an arrogant piece of shit that thinks he knows better than everyone else. Similar traits to Merson in just writing off any club or player that isn't English, and again thinks he's funny for it.

In fairness its super hard to win in this era of Man City. Look how near perfect Liverpool have been under Klopp. 8 years of relentless football but with "only" 1 PL and 1 CL. Its not easy to overcome Manchester City.

Arteta is a bottle job. Some of his decision making is laughable. Arsenal sacked Emery. Yet in that time Emery, as won the europa league turned a struggling villa side challenging for champions league football. Arteta gets great press but come the huge moment hes weak.

I was shocked at how poor the atmosphere was. Champions league quarter finals against the most successful team in the competition with the tie finely balanced and it felt like a friendly match. Very poor.

Yeah but the fact its coming for a foreign fan just goes to show how bad its got, they don't understand how a club like Man city with a team they have can just watch in silence.

Honestly I don't think it's that in this instance. It's just a Real Madrid fan taking a shot at Man City at the expense of their city rivals because Man City have an enormous amount of Barca connections. 

 

You can tell that's what it's about because he claims it isn't unprovoked lol
