With Dortmund going through, and possibly Bayern as well, does this work against the team finishing 5th in the Premier League when it comes to CL qualification? I'm hoping it does!

Think it'd need West Ham to beat Leverkusen and Arsenal to beat Bayern to give England any chance of coming 2nd in the coefficients.

It isn’t looking good, any points the PL teams gain is divided by 8… with teams like Newcastle and Man U dropping early it’s been difficult. Liverpool look to be on their way out and so do West Ham.

Think most Newcastle fans would acknowledge it's not exactly that linear with that penalty. Would have changed the approach on their respective final group games.

 

Though they haven't been shy to mention two of the four semi finals came from their group to emphasise how difficult their group was.
