this was what he said friday:

 

“At the moment, we have Marc Albrighton and Wanya (Marcal) on the right side. We use Macca (Kasey McAteer) too. On the left side, Stephy (Mavididi) is there and we can also use Macca there. But it’s quite clear we need wingers. It’s one, two, three, I don’t know, but we need wingers.”

 

So it would seem unlikely he'd have him going out on loan - unless, perhaps the key here is that he doesn't mention him as a left-sided option (possibly based on him not being great there in pre-season), and the new signing would make us heavy on the right?

It would leave us with - left: mavididi, mcateer,  right: two new signings and albrighton.

McAteer is rapid which I do like, I’m holding out some hope that he may actually be decent. But it’s his final product that is lacking for me.

The bloke can’t win. If he plays a load of these players that don’t want to be here and they serve up a rotting performance as they have for the last year then what will be your hot take then?

Club is probably oblivious to the 2 GKs being a cry for more signings so it's all for nothing, it just gives us all unnecessary anxiety to see Ward involved.

Why the grief on Wilf? He was excellent v Cardiff and midfield collapsed after he went off (a huge tactical blunder by the manager imo.....and yes, I know we scrambled a win)
