Eventually these performances will catch up with us but 3 points is 3 points. 
 

Positives were that we defended relatively well, Casadei’s cameo and McAteer scoring twice but little else. We just look confused.

These wins are fantastic considering the new playstyle and missing players. When it all comes together we will surely piss da league.

 

McAteer was great today, him and Wanya are both taking their chances well.

Bloody hell. Its like watching 75 minutes of crap, 10 minutes of us holding the ball pretty well and 2 moments of quality for a goal.

 

Its hard to complain with 5 wins to start the season. But it would nice to see us play well for longer spells.

 

So happy for Kasey. Him and Wanya have really laid a marker down. 

 

Still not sold on Nacho - but he did give an assist. I just feel he doesnt really know what he's on the pitch to do.

We may have been playing bang average football from Day 1 of this season, but it has still bagged us 5 wins out of 5.

 

Just imagine how we will be when we finally get going. Need a trouncing win to silence the doubters. And that said, when will we actually have a striker scoring league goals this season?

 

Perfect start continues but we can't rely on midfielders forever, Enzo.

another battling performance, decent in spells, only gripe i have is the slow starts we seem to be having to the second halfs, 

 

shows we always need least 3 attacking players in, well we know 2 at least are coming, but need a third, someone like Chair would be ideal

Made hard work of that but fair play a win is a win. Just feels like they’re far too casual on a 1-0 lead and play like the games in the bag when its not. Bit of ruthlessness and quality in the CAM position and we’ll be laughing. Really hope we sign Doyle up, think he looks a quality player especially at 19

The play style is improving, but I'm concerned we aren't scoring plenty. We did seem to be sussed out during that second half. 

 

There was no element of luck. What was lucky about taking our chance at the end? Its fitness.

Creating a forgetting how to lose mentality will bring a huge lift around the club, take out pre season thats 7 currently unbeaten if you add the last 2 prem games

The Kasey McAteer show day today!

 

All of our games so far have been the same, patches of real quality but underwhelming for the most part. But when it matters we take our chances and have won every game so far! I thought our first 10 matches would be pretty rough, and they have been. But we are winning despite that, and we do see expansion in our play. We won't know our final squad till the window is closed and only then can Maresca really get to work with what he has. Doyle has been our best defender this season, Casadei I thought was bright when he came on, Hamza put on another good show when in his cameo too. It's kind of crazy though that we are top of the league, but none of our strikers have scored in the league yet!

 

For me the turning point was Vardy coming on, despite not doing that much. The game was becoming a bit too much like power league, but when he came on, we went back to being more methodical and started making better quality chances.

 

The biggest negative was complacency in defence. A goal for them was ruled out correctly, but it was still pretty easy, and the second was poor again from a variety of players. We get away with it in this league, but it's the reason we are down here to begin with.

There is a running theme throughout the games that there is a period in the second half when we completely lose control of the game, if it wasn’t for the lack of quality in this league, we would be buried in a few of the games. 
 

It’s impressive that we are grinding out the results, but, have we really been tested? 
 

The acid test will be a Norwich or a West Brom, because I’m not totally convinced we are really ready to take these teams on. 
 

Hate to be pessimistic, but I’m just think we’re on the verge of an absolute spanking….

 

Not impressed with Mavididi today, thought he looked completely ineffective and really lacks composure and quality in the final third. 

Mavididi wasnt great for most of the game but when Casadei came on i thought they linked up really well!

Poor mentality. Movement is better but we are so slow in the final third, almost like Rodgerball. Hate it when we try to defend a lead for 10 mins. I thought this manager is about always playing the same way regardless of whether you are winning or losing.
