He was alright to begin with.

Then last season looked like Ryan McGivern on his period. Moody git.

Just listened to his interview said he was impressed with Fulham's style of play when we played them last season, which is about getting forward and attacking. The Brendan effect then.

What going 1-0 up away and time wasting to the likes of which had never previously been seen?

A solid squad player in the premier league but in my opinion he is a player who is easily replaceable.

It has never really bothered me whether he was in the side or on the bench. I've never felt he really adds a great deal to the starting 11.

He was impressed with how they always found a man at the back post.

He’s not our problem anymore, good luck.

He'll be in the Iborra category of players for me. Won't be long before I barely remember he even played for us.

Startling lack of appreciation for Iborra there

He suffered from not having a right winger playing ahead of him last year. He was expected to be defensively solid and provide attacking threat on that side and ended up not doing either very well. I also never really understood why he was the one who got shoved out to the left cus I don't think he was very good on his left foot. Still, I think in the right team he can be a good player and it wouldn't surprise me to see him do well at Fulham. If only he'd have stuck that chance in against Newcastle it might have ended so differently

All those that leave due to being relegated... Will forever have relegated on their CV and if they ever play at the KP again they need reminding of that ...  there is still some deadwood to go ...  and if they were premiership standard... the club would still be in it  ....

Why undisclosed, dont the upper management want to be open with us?

Deal took about a month too long, but its done, better than keeping him here on the sidelines.

That was the main thing I recall about that game too - never seen anything like it

Liked him as a player for us and think Fulham will suit him.

I dare say it was him that was closest to keeping us in the Premier League (that late, late effort at St James Park) - and yet, I think him not scoring that has probably done us a massive favour when you see the direction we’re heading now.

Good luck to him. Don't get the level of hate and vitriol aimed towards him, and presume in the majority of cases it's just anger people feel to Rodgers being spread outwards.

Hope he does well. Might not be the 'dream' move he expected/wanted at some point but he's still playing in the PL and I think he'll be fine. Nothing special, but nowhere near the worst transfer made this summer in the league.

I don't think anyone can get annoyed at the fans who aren't happy with a very well paid player forcing a move and not playing for us until he got it. After being partly responsible for us going down. Just sums up everything wrong with football. No one with the mentality of the bunch from last season will be missed. God knows why so many relegation candidates would want anyone with that mentality either. They're all fine in good teams but they don't have the fight for a relegation scrap and a few of these could quite easily end up with 2 relegations in a row on their precious CVs.

"It's been a long transfer window, but finally I'm here, and I'm happy to be here," Castagne told FFCtv.

"It's a big relief. I've talked to the manager and I just can't wait to start training and playing."

Yeah, sorry that we paid you £70k per week and were keeping you here against your will!!  Willy puller.

I’m not calling just you out but the amount of people getting offended him saying this seems OTT.

He has hardly bad mouthed us just stated that he’s happy to have started his new chapter whilst being revealed by his new club.

He’s gone, we’ve got respectable money for him and more money off the wages so it’s win/win all round.
