I think Nugent us unlucky not to be on here. Cottee was good also and Collymore. Even Steve Howard and Fryatt were both great but it was league 1. Claridge and Marshall were decent. Would be easier to compile a worst 10 strikers list, we've had some shockers over the years.

Collymore wasn't with us long enough (just 12 appearances). Shouldn't be in consideration imo.

I do find these lists (best 10,11,12 etc) fairly pointless because you can't really condense 140 years of something into small numbers but this list seems particularly crap given not all of them played in the position.

I never saw Keyworth, Leek, Hine or Dougan, but based on record and reputation they'd all be good shouts. Arguably moreso than Iheanacho, and definitely above some of the suggestions that have been added to the mix. I know Duncan was a wing-half in his later career, but he began as an inside forward. And Arthur Lochhead was too, unless I'm mistaken. So they'd have to be ahead of quite a few on that list.

Shinji gets in for being in the 2016 side but he scored what, 4 or 5 goals for the club ? He is a great character but Nugent , Russell , Marshall even Fryatt were far better strikers not to mention Dougan and Clarke

Unfortunately, lists of this type always seem to favour players from the most recent decades of the club's history, which is no doubt why some of the stalwarts of City's distant past have been completely ignored. Based on goal scored alone, the list's top 10 would be Chandler, Rowley, Vardy, Hine, Hines, Arthur Lochhead, Lineker, The Mighty String, Duncan and Jimmy Walsh. Of course, everyone has a different view of what constitutes 'greatest ever', so lists such as this are really just talking points.

Harry Kane can feel hard done to here

A few on this list who played semi pro football centuries ago who are closer to Henry the 8th being in power but englands best can’t get a look in. Just sad and disappointing
