Surely he wants a move, third choice right back and doesn’t look to be fancied in any of our midfield roles as a starter, he can’t want to be a rotation option in League one, surely

Trouble is he's probably similar to the rest of the deadbeats that we have. They are quite happy to sit on their asses getting paid a massive wedge. They are not bothered about playing & will not move unless we can find a mug who will pay

what they get here.

At no point has he ever been good enough to be more than a reserve reserve at Leicester. He might be home grown but we should have met him go a decade ago. Somehow ended up giving him a huge contract despite him never having the on the ball ability for league football. Good a recovery runs and that's about it. Just pay him off.

Didn't he say last season when we got relegated that he wants to stay. He knows he's sh*t and after his crap loanee performances at other clubs nobody wants him. He knows we're a soft touch club, why would he want to move anywhere else where the fans will rightly get to him if he doesn't graft. He rather stay at Leicester on a nice wage doing nothing but hanging around at the Seagrave resort

I'm in a very very small minority that thinks he's pretty decent (at least at championship level) and that he's never 'had a run' 

 

There have been several occasions he's put in a motm performance, picked for the next game, failed to replicate the performance and then dropped. Any player needs a grace period to ride some bumps and find some consistency..

 

His fitness, speed and tenacity are worth something in a well coached team..we've just not been well coached for years. 

 

Like Faes, largely due to a flamboyant haircut, the fans instantly draw all sorts of conclusions about their personality (arrogance) . I honestly think if both sported  a Luke Thomas cut, both would've had an easier ride.

He had mostly been played out of position. Thankfully there is no way he ends up playing endless games as a right back. 
 

I’m sure he could do a job as a tenacious CDM in league. 
 

Some players were going to keep and where he lacks in real technical quality you’ll definitely get that fight and effort. We’ll need that this year.

Strangely we’re going to be looking for a centre half or halves and he had one of his best games there when we beat Liverpool 1-0. I think he could play there alongside a ball winner, and, for a centre half he could pass it adequately.

If he plays to a very simple game plan, sit in front of the defence and retrieve the ball, abit like Ndidi under Roger's when we played 4141, he'll do fine at this level or even Champ. Get the ball and pass to the guy next to you (just not Okoli). Anything extra and you're asking for trouble.

I think all of the above opinions are completely wrong. He's been with us years, had multiple loans after which no one wanted him and is simply not a very good footballer.

Aiyawatt will be loving the perception and positive reputation in Bangladesh,

I think his value, at least from the perspective of the decision makers, is his versatility. These kinds of players can prove to be very useful over the course of a long season where injuries can quickly stack up and leave you vulnerable if you don’t have senior players ready to step in where required. 
 

I also think it’s possibly been what’s held him back from really kicking on - he seemed to have some potential to develop as a CDM but I can’t remember the last time he played there consistently - maybe at Watford on loan. Since then he’s been used as a full back on both flanks, CB and as an 8, and at each position he’s shown signs of promise but also a lack of consistency. 
 

I’m torn between whether I’d prefer to keep him or Skipp in the squad. Ultimately I think neither should start and we should look for a player with the qualities Martin needs from that position. Skipp seems closer aligned to that but Choudhury seems better equipped to handle the physicality of the league.

As far as I recall Rodgers heaped praise on him for that performance and rewarded him by dropping him for the next game (and subsequent games).  Equally, I agree that his aggression and speed could give us something we currently lack in midfield.  I'd like to see him given the chance.

Yep and they probably just think we only need to outlast the manager, which has been easy as of late as we’ve hired crap. Then the new regime starts and they might get a look in.
