Don't bother telling people what you're willing to pay, limit your options significantly.

Should be from the support and voted in by the support.

. I  would envisage you would be tying the hands of the individual behind his back,  after taking up the role!!!

Just by reading the job description, you can see why an ardent fan would spend everyday tilting at the club for change and receiving pushback from the club!! Who would want to go into work facing that everyday?

It needs a none supporter, someone with an open mind and the flexibility to see things from both sides.

The individual will be working for the club, he has a duty to the company that pays his wages, he is not going to be "one of our own".

I would say, unless he is not far from retirement (I  have never met him) Jim, the officer that posters on here sing his praises, should be a candidate or his department expanded to incorporate this role, which allows him to oversee, this potentially challenging position.

I'm not sure if it's official or not but I'm pretty sure the club has a policy of not hiring Leicester fans for senior roles - that's exactly the problem.

That's why we get silly window dressing rather than tackling big persistent, issues like the away priority points.

Not even sure it's just senior levels. I got a response when I was starting out about 13 years ago that my covering letter was a bit too enthusiastic and focussed on LCFC and my passion for the club, and that impartiality might be beneficial...... in a marketing role.... lol

Yes a non supporter who will then use their job as a way of watching city for free, pushing it under the guise of away stewarding

Feel for the poor individual who gets this job tbh for two reasons.

1. The number of views they'll have to represent.

2. The licence they'll be given by the club (very little I'd imagine).

It's a difficult job that's for sure.

...I  would say that there is a plethora of staff who are not  supporters of the club, why should  this appointment be any different!!!

Not sure that would be the direct reason - different groups in the fan base have different priorities.

Have no issue the position not being filled by a fan, the main issues we encounter are the exec not listening to what fans want or those representing fans in meetings not representing all views.

It'll probably be someone just out of University who'd be happy to a 'senior' role on the likely salary.

You've ignored the bit where they have to be able to challenge the status quo......

Years back now but I was at a group interview (various roles from catering to shop & matchday staff) at the club where the first question was "are you a fan of the club?" Those putting their hands up were told specifically that being a supporter would "interfere" with them being able to do their job effectively.

The only people to challenge Status Quo are Massive Wagons - am I in the right thread?

I've applied for Head of Fanny Engagement but had to declare that I have no formal qualifications and my previous experience was many years ago now. However I'm willing to complete any further on the job training.

The cabbage soup working group would be the highlight of the week for me.

Set a salary and tell people! Frustrates me when jobs don't specify it. Maybe I've worked in the public sector too long where it is stated, but this just seems a silly thing to hide/not say.

Deterring people passionate about your organisation is cataclysmically stupid

A football fan would be a start.

“Online” how ironic lol

The club is soooo bad when it comes to online engagement - the socials, the website, the ticket office. All horrific.

Not forgetting Foxes hub
