It's like we have all the makings of an amazing striker, but the attributes are split between Daka, Vardy and Nacho.  They are all really good at one aspect, but severely lacking in others.  Vardy is the only one with a decent excuse for his shortcomings, he's in his late 30s.  The other two are just not good enough where it counts in scoring goals, but they do bring something else to the game.

Maybe we need to play with 2 on the pitch

Daka added some much needed pace without lugging lost or sluggish like Nacho and Vardy have done this season.

Still Vardy is the best striker though but I think Daka looks good in the system, better than Nacho. a lot more lively.

One of the things about modern football and especially what we're seeing under Enzo is that players aren't playing in traditional positions. Players aren't defenders, midfielders and attackers anymore. Who is the best striker? Probably Vardy. Who based on the evidence of the past 3 games suits Maresca's game plan best, it's looking increasingly like Daka as his pace advantage and quick thinking clearly helps us to transition faster.

This is simply a black or white question which doesn't have a black or white answer.

I think Daka needs a run of games before we decide. A daka after 10 straight games could be completely different.

I think he was a little unlucky yesterday, tried a few things that didn’t come off but on another day would. The chop to lose their defender when through was actually very good, but the extra awareness that there was a covering player was what was lacking.

He attempted a few flick ons or back heels, some came off, some didn’t (the one in the first half stood out for the wrong reasons… and one in the second for the right ones). I’d like to see how this link up play would develop with more time on the field.

Right now I would much rather have Daka starting ahead of both Vardy and Iheanacho

Realistically over this Christmas period though we need to be giving some good minutes to Cannon at some point with AFCON coming up in January

I put Cannon. Not because I necessarily think he is, but if he does turn out to be amazing I can bring this up in 3-4yrs and be really smug that I spotted something nobody else had.

I'm going to quote this in 3-4 years time when we release him and he signs for Alfreton!

Given the way we play, and on form, it is Daka by a distance.

His link up play has really impressed me since he came in, was not expecting that from him, and they have clearly been working on his movement. His runs have been opening up space between the lines for other players really nicely. No coincidence our goalscoring has picked up significantly since he came in at #9.

I put Daka but only because , right now , we can get more out of him than we can the others with regards to the system and style we are currently playing.

I'm sure that there is a striker out there  somewhere that would suite us and our style perfectly. Right now its just Daka is more suitable than the others..

They are all unfit for purpose for different reasons

Vardy - in his twilight years

Kel - always been inconsistent and doesn't seem motivated

Daka - a trier and pacey but a terrible footballer

Cannon - may be great but not ready yet

Wish we would get an all rounder in who can shock horror both control and hold the ball and play others in as well as finish.

Very unfair to call Daka unfit for purpose. scored goals recently and his link up play yesterday was quite good i thought... Getting consistent games and is using the opportunity well..

I do think Vardy might have broken our club.

I remember when we were just happy if the ball ended up in the net. That’s what the striker was for. Our expectations are going to be hard to meet after 10 years of sir vards

As a fanbase we don't celebrate our legends unfortunately. We continually write them off and disrespect them.

Harry Kane will no doubt get a statue outside Spurs ground after a winning a grand total of **** all whereas we'll be sending Vardy off to the knackers yard

That's not true though is it.  Vardy will always be a part of Leicester folklore and he will get the perfect ending to his story.... be part of the team that takes us back to the premier league... he then gets to retire at the end of the season with a script writers dream of a career and will be forever loved by the Leicester fan base.

the ONLY way his career with Leicester could have been improved, was if he had scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final.

you can't name a single player in our history, that has achieved more with our club and our club alone.

It's crazy, I'd have said at the start of the season that we had an embarrassment of riches upfront for the level we are playing at. I'd now agree that it is the area that needs to be addressing more than any other moving forward. I don't think we need a new striker in January, mind.

As a striker I just want someone who regularly puts the ball in the back of the net, that's what strikers are for. I get the other stuff, can they hold the ball up, can they bring others into play, can they distract defenders while other players make breakthroughs etc. Yes they have to be team players but also have to show a willingness to get into positions and a selfishness and determination to get the ball in the net. Its about getting the best out of the strikers and what systems are best for that.  Goals win games. Its comman place nowadays to just play one striker up front. We just need to maximise the chances for our strikers so at the very least they put one of those chances away. Vardy is getting on now and will eventually need replacing. Has Daka shown enough given more game time that he can step up.( I would argue the jury is still out, and he might not be here next season). Cannon still too early to tell while Kalechi is still hit and miss and is not as prolific as we all hoped. That leaves buying a new striker we I think we do need at some stage. As fans we all want a prolific twenty goals a season striker.

I can't believe Cannon has votes and has done nothing of note yet, I really hope he is the real deal, we will need him, and Vardy firing on all cylinders when Afcon starts!

Daka is definitely not a terrible footballer. Far from it. He's a prolific finisher but he hasn't adapted unfortunately. He's great in open rhythm games or in teams with a focused counter attacking system.

We need a dominant box striker but good luck with that. Can we sign Dovbyk from Girona? I don't think so.

Who "is", "has been" or "will be" the best striker of that group?  I'd probably give you a different answer for each.  Only Cannon would be left out, and that's because I haven't seen enough of him.

Put a gun to my head and it's Vardy though.
