Finnegan Posted 1 July 2024 Posted 1 July 2024 Tbh we have so few midfielders on the books we almost can't sell him atm

Benjamin Andre did all the defensive work in his holding midfield partnership at Lille. Bouba in a partnership with Winks, not for me mate. 5
VLC86 Posted 1 July 2024 Posted 1 July 2024 If I see this arsehole watching an attacker run past him while he watches it happen V Spurs I am going to lose my shit.
adam Posted 1 July 2024 Posted 1 July 2024 Oh bloody hell. I forgot about this clown. Loan him out again immediately. 2

The Guvnor Posted 2 July 2024 Posted 2 July 2024 He is gash and on a ludicrous wage, be with us until his contract runs out unfortunately. 1
Muzzy_no7 Posted 2 July 2024 Posted 2 July 2024 It’ll be a loan to a ligue 1 side with us still likely covering 30-50% of his wages and little to no fee up front. 2
gurru991 Posted 3 July 2024 Posted 3 July 2024 It’s been a pretty poor move from day one to be honest and we are obviously going to lose money on him. It’s probably best to get whatever we can for him now and accept the loss . I realize it will be a FFP loss but it ain’t gonna get any better

We would let him go at a loss and have to replace him. It’s money not football I know, but we need to a little conscious of this.
Molson Canadian Posted 3 July 2024 Posted 3 July 2024 I expect he will be around for pre-season training. I don't see him being transferred or going on a confirmed loan before then.

JimJams Posted 3 July 2024 Posted 3 July 2024 I am holding out hope that Cooper sorts him out and comes good. In the same way I'm holding out hope that Gareth Southgate somehow develops tactical nouse and get an England side to put on a display that doesn't put you into a coma.

st albans fox Posted 3 July 2024 Posted 3 July 2024 Two years left - that should mean we sell him this summer to avoid him deciding next summer to see his contract out and leave for nowt. even if we can only get £8m, we should do that get his wages off the books and minimal damage to psr via his amortised value. of course if we get 8 then we likely have to agree to cover 4m ( 2m per season) re his wage differential elsewhere in europe (he’ll get 40k/week max). So we really need to get 12 to neutralise that additional cost.. 1
coolhandfox Posted 3 July 2024 Posted 3 July 2024 He definitely has something, just can't seem to pull it all together.

We’re into a new year now, so I would rather take a bit of a hit on him now rather than have him leave on a free in two years. £6-8m would be good for me if we can find a buyer.
