He's not good but he's probably the level we'd be looking at as a replacement anyway. If we were linked to sign the guy he plays centre midfield with at Sevilla we'd probably be excited. Selling KDH immediately when the window opens and Bouba in his place is a pretty likely outcome. 

 

The finacial mismanagemnt of the club probably forces our hand here, plus the sickening wages we offered him means he's most likely here until the bitter end.

Pretty much this. Even if you do view things through Boubakary tinted glasses and think he's an "okay squad player" (he's not) the very stark reality is we simply can't afford to pay squad filler / back up anywhere near whatever he's being paid.

Very much depends on a few things. We are going to be in a position where we've a handful of players still on £80-100k a week and yet a new structure of trying to recruit important 1st team players on half that.

 

Soumare will now be at a price left on his amortised transfer fee that if we can shift him on for £7m + save his wages then we are better off.
