He was probably our second best performer after BEK. Some people just can’t seem to give him any credit. He’s performed ok in the last few games and kept that up today.

Yeah, ‘OK’ is probably how I’d describe his performances too.

Why would I give credit for OK performances? I don’t think he played ‘well’ today…I’ll stand by that.

We really need to have higher standards.

Because, at this level, we have an okay squad of players. He was probably the best of an okay squad today.

Its not great, and no one is saying he’s a world beater, but he did his job today and we can’t say that about everyone.

Lad can play, he’s looked half decent the past few games!

Still wouldn’t be offering him a new deal stay up or relegation.

Seriously did the slow mans slug actually play well today?

Thought he was our best midfielder today . I know that’s not saying much but there was far worse players on the pitch that aren’t getting as much flack .

He's doing okay I have to say. Unfairly booked imo

Haha you're not serious about the booking?

He made no attempt to play the ball and took him down out of frustration

He is such a passenger. I proper dislike him as a footballer. How are we here spending 40M on midfielders and he is in the starting 11.... Like how???

Because Skipp is also not good enough. El Khannouss should be starting though.

How is any of the blame going to him when ndidi has been at least 5 times worse,he was literally jogging whiles soumare was sprinting back to stop an attack

Because people have their favourites and those that they dislike.  The latter will get the blame for everything.  Look at the match thread, Thomas is getting a hammering for being on the pitch but in terms of performance he's not the worst defender today, nor the second worst.  Not a high bar, but he hasn't fxxked anything up yet (defensively) whilst the more senior players have been cack.

Just a friendly reminder that we've lost every game he has started in.

The love in for Bouba after his involvement in the Ipswich goal is bizarre if ask me.

Shades of “Faes is decent” on his debut considering that we let in 6 that game.

faes was getting hyped up when we went on that shitty little run of beating rubbish teams just before the world cup. was garbage after that

Im not sure about the two number 6 set up that involves Soumare. Personally I’d go back to last season’s set up in midfield. Sack off the number 10. Winks as the pivot with a creative number 8 and a more destructive number 8. With Fatawu injured, I’d play Buonanotte as an out and out winger on the right (Mavs on the left) with El Khanouss as the creative number 8 and pick one from Ndidi, Skipp or Bouba as the more prosaic ‘water carrier’ number 8. Play Hamza as an inverted right back and stop hoping Justin can play as a wing back.

But where in this masterplan have you set fire to Wouts head?

See, flaws in every plan.
