Can’t remember him scoring for us

And equally I can’t remember him protecting the back 4 at any point

Just in Limbo for his career here, always seemed to be 10 yards too high or deep and when he played so many players got into the pockets behind him!

Probably had his best spell just before Qatar World Cup when he played a bit deeper behind Tielemans and KDH - but even then he always looked too lightweight and lethargic!

Ironically he’ll probably go back to France in a slower less high tempo league and rip it up but one we should definitely be getting money for and getting out of the door.

Nearly 100 games, nearly years and I still haven't a clue whether or not he is any good or what his qualities are; another symbol of our sad, unnecessary decline.

There’s been about 5 games with us when he’s  been switched on and looked every bit a prem player. Trouble is that means he’s looked well below par for 95 games. It’s nowhere near good enough. Get rid as soon as.

I couldn't decide who's worse, him or Kristiansen. But it's probably him. More than a few goals have been scored by opposition because of his careless, stupid clearances. Kristiansen is just a poor footballer, whereas this fellow somehow had credibility.

Got the physical and technical attributes to be a top player, just seems to lack that bit of drive and determination. Far too often he jogs when he should be sprinting.

At least he won’t ask for a testimonial, it’s like he’s already played in 87 of them for us.

And it still blows my mind that these two players were instrumental in our last relegation, then both refused to play in the Championship but were happy to come back and play in the bright lights of the Premier League and went on to put in WORSE performances than the last time they played for us. And they both got to play in the majority of games.

Two players that sum up the state of the club and why we are in this mess.

£45m for the pair of them.

A sackable waste of money.

Money that could have been saved, had anyone done the appropriate scouting.

So many of us called both of them out early on not being upgrades on what we already have.

We've not been up to scratch anywhere on the pitch all season but our midfield's inability to control the game at all this season heaped much more pressure on our defense and kneecapped our attack every game I've seen - and while most the blame needs to go to Cooper/RVN, Soumare has been the worst culprit for me in our midfielders. Ineffective all year.

Soumare an Ndidi are the most negative midfield on the planet, they create less than zero.

Given that all they ever do is pass the ball backwards or give it away, amazingly they can`t even do that well.

Unbelievably awful, no wonder we had the worst season ever.

We as a club just seem to target useless nothing midfielders, Soumare, Skipp and Winks all are useless in defence do not score or create any goals.

I think it’s the balance that we’ve got all wrong.

I think Winks as a sitting midfielder has a point. I also think Ndidi has proven he can be a destructive midfielder in front of a back four.

Admittedly I’ve seen nothing from Skipp or Soumare to suggest that they aren’t anything, but a scandalous waste of money.

The big problem is that any combination of two is just two defensive and offers very little going forward. We really need to find a creative midfielder as we’ll struggle, even in the Championship, with the current balance

When we signed him , the stats said he doesn’t contribute anything

Awful player, and the quicker we get rid the better

I remember @Stadt at the time saying he was a mix of Tielemans and Ndidi, but the bad attributes of both.

He was everything we needed at the time, a ball carrying defensive midfielder to play through the lines with youri, a ligue 1 winner, and the fee wasnt huge, so where did it all go wrong?

You get the feeling he's hated every minute of playing for us and never wanted to come here in the first place.

He had very few  assists and hardly any goals for Lille ,  I stand corrected

very strange signing

To the point as why did we sign him like Skipp
