Katherine, Dutchess of Kent dies aged 92

Best remembered for comforting Jana Novotna after she lost the Wimbledon Women's singles final to Stefi Graf

That moment defined the both of them.

Yes was a sad but iconic moment.

Both will now meet up again .

She was very likeable and can’t be too many members of that particular family into Ice Cube and Eminem!

Agreed, and on that basis, if anyone is struggling, reach out. My inbox is always open if anyone needs to talk it needs an ear.

I'm a mental health first aider at work and so many people find it hard these days.  Modern life is a real struggle for so many.

Can imagine that there are many out there who are struggling, but are unwilling to reach out - in case their concerns/problems/worries get negatively perceived by employers etc.

No suspicious circumstances usually means suicide - terrible news RIP

Aren't natural causes or drugs non suspicious as well?

It's certainly  sad news, 46 is certainly no age.

I know it's a bit morbid but I Googled it. Anything with clear evidence, be it an accident, natural causes, overdose or suicide is classed as non suspicious. Although an inquest may be required to determine actual cause. I'm assuming then that if it doesn't look like you've been murdered, it's non suspicious.

Correct FF.

Over the years, I've attended probably hundreds of sudden deaths of all age groups and the only ones that have been suspicious, were exactly that. I could count them on the fingers of both hands. Those are the ones where the police seize our boots and uniforms and give us a tylex coverall to go home in and the police will check the body all over for signs of deliberate injury

What's the worst situation you've ever encountered?

Why would you ask that?

Some people are intrigued by that kind of stuff I guess which is why there’s hugely popular stuff on tv around that subject - not my cup of tea but each to their own.

Yeah that's fair enough, I just felt for Para being asked to recount something probably pretty horrific, but he can speak for himself I guess

It's not an unusual question and all paramedics will be asked more than once.

There's no easy answer as all major trauma, serious medical events and so on carry their own shock value. Some will stick with me, others (the majority) I move on from.

Personally I have recollections of many different things I've seen or dealt with. Sometimes they are memories triggered if I drive past a place where something terrible and shocking has happened. Other times I might pass an address which brings back the incident that occurred there.

I think it's different for each individual as to what they perceive, and how or what they remember. When asked by someone what is the worst... I don't particularly mind, I just say there's quite a few and they're all different. I couldn't say there's a "worst"
