However, I don't agree that it 'doesn't matter 'who the manager is. I think it matters a lot. 3

Well yes, it would be great to have a 'better' manager, but we are where we are, clearly nobody wants the job, so just appoint and move on. We aren;t getting any top managers any time soon, we all need a reality check.

People forget the shit hand he was dealt in terms of losing so many players from the promotion team and then the total mess of a transfer strategy. Everyone on here had them down as a dead man walking upon promotion. So to keep them up way way above expectations. He’s always preached wanting to play good football, but I don’t think he’s one of them like Maresca who wants to force it no matter what, from his comments he’ll do what he needs to first to get to that position. If it’s him, I have no idea how it will go. We’ve been surprised many times and I hope we will again. I certainly don’t get the total distain on here for him, I think it’s well over the top. I'm just pointing out what fans have said about him. I also pointed out he's known for being tactically flexible - i'm sure he'll be asked to play attacking possession based football with us and see no reason why he can't carry it out. Overall optimistic and very aware of the fact he worked for a lunatic at his previous job.

Come out and say that things are shit and we need everyone pulling in the same direction, not this face saving bullshit that it’s about ‘vision’ and ‘growth’. Dare I say that if the fans were afforded proper communication, we could create a real backs against the wall mentality and might have a chance this year. Any danger @RYM

It has been reported (by the same journalists reporting that it's Cooper) that the club would go for Corberan if the deal with Cooper fell through, which would imply the compensation is not that much of a stumbling block. If we're appointing Steve Cooper because Corberan would cost us a measly £4m (which is nothing), then God help us.

If they had kept the team they came up with they would have probably finished bottom of the league, they spent 165m that's the reason they stayed up in the main and the reason clubs like Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd went straight back down. They only stayed up because Everton and Leiester capitulated. Of course Forest fans will love him, they spent 20 years in the Championship Edited 19 June 2024 by whoareyaaa
