He’s fine in the centre in the right system. Playing him as a wide CB is a bit odd, massively exposing his main and very obvious weakness and pitting him against wingers/wide forwards… typically the fastest players on a pitch.

I was amazed when they made the triple substitution with 10 minutes to go he stayed on.

Idk, I have a very bad feeling about this. This 3-5-2 can cause severe problems. Zivkovic on the right is a very underrated player and Trippier will have a mare.

It doesn't matter how good the individuals are on paper, they will inevitably be hampered by Southgate's lack of footballing intelligence.  And winning mentality in tournament situations.
