I think Rooney needs to take some advice off of Neville and leave management to the professionals.

Absolute cracking player but his management is like a curse whatever club he goes to.

Management expert Rooney, showing his tactical genius once again.

Rooney is like another Gerrard and Lampard, top players but hopeless in management. Just shows how these ex players relied on top managers. You'd think another failed job for Rooney would be the end. Give credit to Alan Shearer, after Newcastle United went down he admitted he failed and accepted management wasn't for him, despite a number of job offers that followed in the coming years he said he no after left management behind.

The only reason Rooney’s got the Plymouth job is that the Director of Football was his youth coach.

The last four appointments at Plymouth have all been scousers with a history with Neil Dewsnip. It’s mad how pro clubs can be ran like that

They made a big deal of trying to put distance between Dewsnip and Rooney in the press releases.

To be honest, what are Preston's expectations?

Haven't they been in the Championship for about 25 years now and haven't been in the top-flight for around 80 years?..

Regarding that video, that's very surprising to hear that from Kompany; thought before that he was down-to-earth and humble.

Preston seem to be intimating it was Lowe’s choice, but then if he was struggling that badly with it, surely just call it quits before pre season gets fully underway?

To be fair, in a normal setting he probably is down to earth. I wonder when in the season this was taken. Before Bayern came in for him, I can imagine Kompany must have felt under a lot of pressure. Doesn’t justify the treatment of Gudmundsson though.

Feels like Kompany went in a bit too hard on him. No doubt similar exchanges happen all over the country at an elite level, but seems like Kompany made too much of a point about it.

Also will be interesting to see how the Bayern players react to this.

"It's ****ing life or death!" sorry but Vincent Kompany isn't doing this unless he knows there's a TV camera there, come on now. No doubt there are training ground disagreements fairly often but this is the most performative shit I've ever seen.
