One of the most pointless signings.

One of Ayew/Reid was okay as a runner (even though we have Kasey who can do the same if really needed, so still would’ve preferred neither), but both was just so stupid.

Skipp, and them two was £30m + wages outlay wasted. Could have signed young like for like back ups with potential for our forwards and Ndidi for less than that if we’d have been brave enough.

Exactly - we really didn't need both of them. And I reckon Ayew is the better (least useless) of the two.

Agreed, I definitely prefer Ayew and see some worth in him as a footballer. But wouldn’t have paid for a transfer fee for him at his age.

Both would’ve been on Premier League wages too and we’re suckers for offering that as a club. Clearly haven’t forgot what got us here in the first place.

With the benefit of hindsight, maybe, just maybe, signing ageing unwanted squad players from teams like Fulham and Crystal Palace,  and then getting Stevie Cooper to inspire and motivate them, might not be as successful as the club had hoped. Who would’ve thought it eh?

How on earth are we ever going to move him on? Stuck with him for three years. Shocking signing. He is completely useless.

I'll hold my hands up, I thought he'd be a decent addition having read the Fulham fans opinion of him, which were largely positive. I was totally wrong - I can't find a single discernible quality that he offers. He's not quick, he doesn't press effectively, he's not particularly direct. He doesn't get forward or back with any pace or urgency, he's not particularly good in tight spaces.....what exactly was he brought in to do?

The frustrating thing is that any of us armchair pundits could see how poor these signings were. It beggars belief sometimes that people who are actually paid lots of money to make these decisions couldn’t

Ayew would have been an ok signing on a short term contract with no transfer fee

Edouard is a waste of wages and I’d rather have kept Cannon

BDCR should never have been on the radar. I’d have rather gambled on a younger player, but even McAteer is better

Also Skipp, whilst being a half decent player, was not what we needed.  A real head-scratcher that one.  We overspent and that money could have been better spent on our many more pressing weaknesses in other areas of the team.
