didn't see the value in another CB as our first signing in the summer when we needed new CMs and Strikers just to stand still in squad depth but fair play, dude looks like he's making the step into the division quite well

He's young and will hopefully improve as most centre backs get better and versed in the dark arts later in their career. Signs look good.

He did well, few dodgy moments, but overall managed Calvert-Lewin pretty well. By second half he stopped competing for the ball with Calvert-Lewin and just picked up the second ball from any flick ons.

His recovery runs are what makes the difference. He is a bit scrappy on the ball, but he’s not going to be bullied, and he’s very aggressive. I just worry about him and Faes as a pair…..

Thought he played well again yesterday as the lone central defender. Not sure why we played 2 right backs though… :ph34r:

I was really worried in pre-season. He looked like a fish out of water and thought that letting Jacob Greaves go to Ipswich was a big mistake.

 

But Okoli has slotted next to Faes seamlessly and is growing on me all the time. At times his passing was good today too, but an area he needs to improve in as he also gave it away a few times too. However, for 15M he looks like very good business to me. I could see him playing at Fulham or Palace, so think he looks like a decent Premier League defender at worse, but think he's got quite a high ceiling too.

 

Quietly impressive, and he seems to have a good attitude.

He will be playing top flight football next season with or without us.
