You can be valuable and also losing money.  They added something like 150 staff over a few years while losing more and more cash.  Makes no sense.  As someone said above, this is two separate things - a football team with its own budget and targets to achieve (and also where performance delivers more income), and an underlying organization which should be run efficiently.

The more you hear about the state of them off field, the more it appears they’re run about as well as us. 

 

Again though, a lot of what Ratcliffe says is correct. It’s cash flow that sinks businesses. If you haven’t got enough money and don’t want to dip into your own pockets to keep it afloat, they end up getting liquidated. 
 

I agree that the taxpayer shouldn’t be paying for the construction of a new stadium though. We’ve got more pressing issues to spend money on!

Yes and no - nothing wrong with the government supporting a hug redevelopment which generates jobs, taxes and growth.  They do it all the time.  Not building the Stadium itself, but that is the centerpiece of a much larger project.

Guardiola stating that the evolution of the Premier League is pretty much down to him and his City team raising the bar which sums everything up doesn't it? Essentially saying even those who weren't traditional contenders are now spending well above themselves to compete- which has to be strictly within guidelines. While him and his City side have operated outside of the rules. I think Capello hits the nail on the head but not just around Italian football, top flight football in general has been harmed by Guardiola types, it's just bland expensive, rinse and repeat shite, it has no soul and is far from the game many of us fell in love with.

We could be relegated by the end of this month?  
 

Looking at Brighton, there is a Club with excellent Infrastructure off the field.  We have Dudkin running our Club.
