I'd rather be in their position, that they have that much value in their team. Like us 3-5 years ago

Yep, learning from our mistakes. Sell at the right time and reinvest in cheaper players who hopefully add value and can be sold in 2/3 seasons.

Problem is when the recruitment is shit, and they haven’t set the world on fire with them in the last 2 seasons, Cunya excluded.

Yep! I expect Bournemouth to do the same.

Has it ever happened before where all 3 relegated teams conceded 80+ goals?

Aside from this season not in the PL era no.. Closest we've had to all 3 going 80+ GA were:
11/12: Bolton (77), Blackburn (78) and Wolves (82)

and

23/24: Luton (85), Burnley (78) and Sheff Utd (104)

Wolves going down at last.

With the utter shite thats gone up, its a tough call for any of the established clubs to go down unless they pull off Leicester levels of incompetency. None of the sides going up were as good as we were the year before, so they need big investment. Leeds are only allowed to Lose a maximum of 60 million over 3 seasons due to PSR wank, tough ask.

Maybe or maybe not....they have a very good experienced manager whose done the hard grind all over the world plus they have shown that they can score goals and win matches without Cunha

how do you reckon youll get on next season losing RAN and Cunha?

Obviously losing your top scorer and top assister the same summer isn't ideal. £50m is apparently the fee for RAN.

We have a huge rebuild on our hands as Nelson Semedo is leaving too as he's out of contract. We probably need 6-7 players, and Jose Sa almost left last summer too and might have interest in him again.

We do have over £100m to rebuild the squad but most Wolves fans have huge doubts that the current recruitment team can bring in that many players who are all successes in one window. We'll likely be dipping into the South American market again.

Apparently Dortmund are interested in Fabio Silva for €18m too. I'd snap their hands off at that. Just a season ago nobody was interested in him but a half-decent season at Las Palmas seemingly has clubs interested again.

The Trees are now frothing that they may get Europa League, rather than Conference.

They're certainly lucky enough, but they wouldn't win the UEL. Too much quality in it next season.

I was wondering where on earth that fee came from, but I had no idea he was only 23. I’d assumed he was 26/27 already.

Still a madness that we couldn’t scrape together any decent money for Barnes, Maddison or youri the year before

So is that Cunha and Mbuemo in behind a yet to be signed striker? Trying to work out Mbuemo on Amorim’s system

Why is their desire to move to Man Utd? Especially after the season they've just had.

They're not the beast they used to be and I'm surprised players clamour to join them ahead of other clubs that are miles ahead of them.

Must be that man u standards are so low these days they won't have the pressure they would at other clubs.. when seeing other man u players play like they do and it being accepted week in week out in must seem like easy money 💰

Particularly when Bryan Mbeumo probably had a few London teams after him where he must be settled?

Spurs want him apparently, so guess if there your only choices you might go to Utd.

To be fair I think I would stay at Brentford!

Why are people surprised at Man Utd still being a big pull for players? They're one of the biggest clubs in the world and can still offer stupid wages to players. Even without Europe they're still a huge draw.

Definitely, if I was a footballer and right now had a choice between Spurs or United I'd still be going with the latter every time.. It's absolutely staggering that a club of their size has got themselves into this mess, though..

Indeed. I think the days of them being able to attract truly elite players has gone (for now) but for the levels below that, they are still a massive draw.

Wages, endorsements, social media clicks. All the stuff your modern, young footballer seems to value very highly.

Seems a bit dodgy to me. Botafogo are in part of the same group as Lyon who Forest have sold £50m worth of players to last summer. Looks a bit like some of these owners are being clever at moving money around.

What a coincidence ay…
