Forest proving that massively overspending and getting the players you want at the expense of a small pts deduction is the way to go.

If they don’t sell in the summer they’ll simply fail PSR so it’ll be interesting to see what happens

A team involved in back to back 5-0 games can’t have happened to often in the premier league let alone a defeat and win by that margin if it stays this way

It's the time of thing Spurs would match this season.

I recall Arsenal winning and losing something like 7-1 in the same season but can't remember if it was back to back

That's why (blasphemy alert) it isn't sustainable.

They either have to sell key players or get landed with a **** off PSR charge.

You have to look at Brighton and say that they could be the next 'model club' to fall off badly.

People forget that making transfers isn’t an exact science and that as easily as you can end up getting a batch of players that make you look like geniuses; you can also easily sign a crop that make you look like idiots.

They didn’t massively overspend, they only failed PSR as they sold Johnson after the PSR deadline. And then were well within the limits.

If anything it illustrates how piss poor our spending and recruitment has been as they still have more wriggle room than us with a much much superior squad.

You must be thinking of 2011/12 season when we lost 8-2 to Man Utd and beat Blackburn 7-1 in February.

Exactly. It happened with us.

We signed Fofana one season and Bertrand the next. Even at our peak, we had absolute flops like Adrien Silva and Slimani.

Up there with the worst defensive displays I've ever seen.

And presumably you've watched a lot of our games so that really is something
