So far out and so much time to watch the flight of the ball. I'd go as far as to say Danny Ward would have saved that 5

Good post above comparing it to 1m signings from back in the day. It's exactly like that. 4 points (that he has won us now) is absolutely huge for our survival hopes. It's quite obvious he has already proved his worth and will continue to. It's the way transfer fees are now amortised for PSR though. He's on a 2 year deal that's up to £8m, so £4m per season. That's the same as what we've paid for Skipp on a 5 year deal. That said, it's the Reid deal that looks mingin' business currently and as most of us said at the time, we didn't need them both. We're saddled.

It's pains me we didn't offer Albrighton an additional year and rotated between him and youth talent, rather than lumping out on Reid for 3 years.

Albrighton couldn’t start consistently for West Brom 18 months ago. He wouldn’t have been anywhere near standard now. Kasey McAteer is the player for that rotation role. 4

I think we'll very likely look back on the Ayew moments as ones that saved us if we do stay up. I'm just glad he's done as well as he has. Reid has been everything we worried they'd both be. I know the bar is very ****ing low these days but I wish every player had Ayew's professionalism. Not asking for a lot. The only possible redemption I could see from Reid would be in the Championship. There were clearly a few panic buys late on to satisfy Cooper and the fans. 2

I really think some games put him on with souttar up front for last 15/10 we need a goal.
suffolk fox Posted 17 November 2024 Posted 17 November 2024 Now injured bloody international breaks......both him and Fatawu sent home both apparently injured. Ayew has a knee problem..sent for an mri scan not good. 1

funkyrobot Posted 18 November 2024 Posted 18 November 2024 Ghanaian news sites reporting that Ayew’s knee injury is significant. They also report that his Ghanaian team mate - Issahaku, also has a serious injury. To confirm Ayew’s teammates full name is Abdul Fatawu Issahaku 😬 2
StanSP Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 Utter dogshit today. And that's being generous, I think. Wouldn't have been averse to Stephy coming on for him at HT.

Genuinely awful. His game is winning fouls, holding up the ball, linking passes etc Everything he did just didn't work today. You can see what we wanted him for, but he was awful.
Soar Fox Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 We knew he was crap when we signed him but were told how hard he works. Well he wasn’t even doing that today, ambling round no urgency no tracking back
Pliskin Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 Absolutely hideous today. Never want to see him play for us again. 1
Lcfc-1992 Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 Should never start unless there’s no other options. Don’t mind him coming on to see games out, shown he can effect games that way.
FLAN Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 Running through treacle and getting beat in the air by an Oompa Loompa horrific today
Jimmy Posted 8 December 2024 Posted 8 December 2024 he's really good coming off the bench but can't start, at least not on the wing but there seems to be an issue with Stephy, he doesn't look fit 1
