Lambert09 Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 Disappointing to see JJ come off before him 1
Aleksz Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 Abysmal footballer. Knew it from the moment we signed him. Had talked myself into thinking he could be useful at this level between April-July. More fool me.
foxile5 Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 Does his best work way out wide of the center. Holds up balls in the flanks well. Which is unsurprising since he isn't a striker. Cifuentes needs to realise that and play to his strengths. He's not good enough for what we are asking but might be good enough if we start playing to his actual strengths. 1
coolhandfox Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 (edited) Not a number 9 square peg in a round hole. Edited 26 September 2025 by coolhandfox
leicesterlad1989 Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 Not a number 9. Makes us worse as a number 10. I don't dislike him. He's not shit. He just doesn't work with this team. I wasn't overly impressed with Carrenza's performance when he came out but arguably he had the disadvantage of having Ayew behind him rather than James. Changes are needed. Ayew is the first.
SecretPro Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 I scored more goals in my professional career and I didn't have one. 2
moore_94 Posted 26 September 2025 Author Posted 26 September 2025 (edited) The only position he should ever be an option for us this season is behind the striker He has no pace or ability to go past players to play as a winger, we would just end up seeing a lot more of his "winning" free kicks and we would have zero threat down the left because Thomas doesn't overlap, and he always drops way too deep to play as a striker Kick him off set pieces as well ffs Edited 26 September 2025 by moore_94
EnderbyFox Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 Audibly groaned when he stepped up to that perfectly placed free kick, rather have had Huth take it 1

lanefox Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 I was having a meltdown in the away end when he was over his last free kick , he then walked over to Ricky thinking they were going to swap he teased us and still took it
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 26 September 2025 Posted 26 September 2025 He's not a resource, he's a hindrance. He doesn't link play or connected with his team mates. Certainly not before the oppos have all 11 eleven of theirs behind the ball and in position. Dreadful!

We were 1-0 down at the time 1
Dan Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 0.09 xg tonight. Again - it isn't he can't finish, it's that he simply won't get chances because he can't move. Ayew starts as many games as I fear he will, I think we'll do well to break 60 goals this season. Give Carranza a run. 2
Tommy Fresh Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Fair play to him on that free kick where he just hit it at the wall, I thought he was just going to lift it over tamely for the keeper to catch so he could stat pad
Soar Fox Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Sounded like there was some cheering from the away end when he was subbed off.
frany104 Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 The longer the starts for us.. the longer we are going to look non threatening. Hes slow, takes too many touches and slows everything down. He okayed some good stuff yday and it just broke down when it got to him. He had a few chances to get in behind last night and he looked like he had a parachute on his back. Get Carranza or Dana up top with a proper number 10 and we could look alright. 2
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Likely that the fans will need to boo him out the side because the manager won't take him out.

Necessary. You have idiots think he plays well though because he sees so much of the ball (to the detriment of the team). Even shit strikers are better than no striker. SK3Blue Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Honestly drives me mad, at what point did anyone stop and say how does this guy improve the team? Whether it be Glover, Rudkin, Cooper, we’ve done it time and again with Skipp, Kristiansen, Daka etc. The guys finished, we keep recycling 💩 putting them back into starting line ups, or finding places for them, starting him as a 9 moving back to a 10. It’s like when united starting shoe horning Rooney into positions when his legs had gone. Pathetic.
Noahfence Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 Our only hope is he gets injured. Nothing serious just enough to get him out the side for a few games and hopefully struggles to get back in.
Pliskin Posted 27 September 2025 Posted 27 September 2025 He doesn’t suit us at all. He doesn’t bring anything positive to the attack. He’s not a bad footballer he just doesn’t do anything for us.

Fat chance. Second he does something good everyone starts singing the ole ole song. This is the bloke in the IT department he end up taking every support case just because he can, but actually does a shit job with the cabling and orders the wrong spec laptops.

He doesn’t look terrible in that he doesn’t have a poor touch or really do anything overtly bad but in the aggregate he adds nothing. I hated the signing at the time and he’s been even more of a hindrance than I expected. Dross Edited 27 September 2025 by Stadt 3
