I presume this is just to 'see how they get on' and have a bit of time all playing at the same time. I imagine we'll see a lot of it this season.

I'm also pretty sure we will see Skipp and Winks as the double pivot, with Ndidi hunting further up field. I think this can work for us in the Premier League, so excited to see how it goes. Though I don't think anyone not at the game will be able to see it!

At least there is no Soumare which may suggest a move is near. That midfield 3  would rather Mcateer in the 10 and get Alves in the team, but I suppose he or Mavididi won't want to play on the right.

Disappointing Richards hasn't been included, I'd argue he's put himself in a position to be ahead of Popov but pleaded for Chris at the same time as he's got something about him.

 

I won't even give Steve Cooper the satisfaction in how that midfield trio has made me feel. I really hope Alves gets a loan move because those comments from Cooper on Alves are so patronising if not. Can't even be brave enough to play him from the start against such opposition.
