Done well for himself since, probably wasn't as bad as you're making out tbf

The football there is nowhere near as fast or physical. In fairness he undoubtedly had some good technical skills. Remember that here, he only had one decent season out of four at Newcastle also.

Over 15m for two flops in edouard and ayew.

i was looking at some info on jobe Bellingham the other day - Sunderland bought him for 1.25m! He’s now worth 20odd mil. Let that sink in for a minute…

We bought Mads Hermansen for about 6.5 mil. Much more impressive.

He starting ahead of Bilal and Facu then?

Or a fit Fatawu?

Our current first 11 has no Fatawu and no Buonanotte. He’d be a better option than Ayew who usually starts and a better alternative to Vardy than Daka. He’d challenge Bilal for the central number 10 role.

Yes, this is true, but it is also true that many of us can see red flag signings coming that the club seemingly cannot.  Bertrand and Vestergaard spring to mind, replacing Chilwell with Castagne, any of Cooper's signings and Ayoze Perez, just off the top of my head.

Actually I might have been in a minority on that last one but he was never good enough for our ambitions at the time.

Agree about Perez, one of the worst value for money signings ever and arguably single-handedly cost us the Champions League with his predictable miss against Chelsea.

But Castagne? Decent player for us overall, far better than Chilwell and played on the opposite side?

I think we are going to have to accept ‘Od Ed’s’  here for the season. With that in mind he needs game time - the QPR match is the perfect time to give him start.

He can only play for Leicester City and/or Crystal Palace until 1/7/25.

"Abroad" doesn't matter, it's a FIFA rule. Players can only be registered for two clubs in a season.

Is this correct I've seen this:

In the related FIFA regulation, the Regulations for the Status and Transfer of Players, Chapter III: Registration of Players, Article 5.3, it stated that: “Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the period from 1 July until 30 June of the following year.

Have Ward take him out in training, claim on the insurance, free a squad space, send him back to palace in a matchbox.

Surely, just a session of shooting at Ward only in training, would get him firing for the rest of the season!!!!!!

You've got to think despite what was said in the media, he's done here. Not even making the bench against QPR in a 3rd round tie, would have been the ideal opportunity to integrate him if we are going to keep him to the end of the season.

Massive waste of money. Not sure I'd hold up Sunderland as a model of good business.

Edouard  Such a weird situation. What the hell is going on here. A perfect game to bring him on  and rest Vardy.

I suppose Ruud / the club are making it very clear they don’t want him

I wonder if he’s training with the first team?? If they really wanted to show him the door then this would make it 100% clear

We've spent a hideous amount of money to loan him in and no doubt would have to pay more, which we probably can't afford, to end the loan. Absolute shambles!

How the hell hasn’t he been returned?

Probably because Palace don't want him back and we have to pay a large chunk of his wages.

Can't we call Palace's bluff.....make him train with the u21's, not register him for second half of season? They then get a player back next season that's nowhere near match fit
