You don't understand the contingencies of sport or life in general. Had Calafiori been dismissed, then the pattern of the game would have been immediately and irrevocably changed, so Skipp would not have been in the same situation to make the same tackle. That's not to say that it is entirely possible some other obviously unforeseeable disaster afflicted us.

Skipp could have gone in the first half. Yellow carded for a pull and chopped Martinelli down

a pull that was no different to the one on vardy leading to the first goal

But it got a yellow card annoyingly. His tackle on Martinelli was awful.

Yeah was nasty. We definitely got away with as much as Arsenal did yesterday.

Didn't realise Buonanotte was booked for asking for a booking for Calafiorri, who should've been off

Indeed he was. To my mind, this encourages players to roll around in apparent agony to try and get a booking/sending off. If a player leaps to his feet, after the tackle, the ref thinks if can't have been that bad.

I'm sure that Calafiori didn't get a second yellow because Buonotte waved the air card. Ref took the opportunity to avoid making a big decision.

That was stupid of Buanotte.  Hope he gets stick from his teammates and learns from it.  Just think of the difference it might have made to the result.8

I was thinking this.  If instead of jumping up and waving the imaginary card, Buonanotte had rolled around faking it, Calafiori might have been under more scrutiny.

As it was, the ref concentrated on booking Buonanotte for asking for the yellow.

Ref should have booked both, meaning red for Calafiori.

Fernandes red card overturned so no ban

can only think that he was effectively a victim of Martinez’ jump tackle at palace where the outcome dictated the sanction. Presumably refs were told that this should have been red because the player was not in control of where his opponent would be when he landed and was therefore ‘out of control’.  it’s amazing that the three var officials didn’t see that there was insufficient force involved in the challenge on Sunday to warrant a red, irrespective of the slip etc. he could have pulled out but he made sure he made contact with madders

Another poor ref, where to start?

Kerkoz should've been booked early for pulling Justin I think?

Ayew/Skipp yellows are poor decisions.

Handball missed for the penalty.

A foul against Edward for leaning into a player for a header?

Just a few I could think of.

I don't think Edouard's was a foul. He was just weak.

Don't know how their player didn't get booked for sliding on Vardy.
