Apologies if this has been said already.

But what is our record on the remembrance fixture? Certainly the home game one each season...it seems to be terrible from memory?

Forest are an organised, drilled side. I can't see many goals, would probably take a draw if offered followed by a positive result at Ipswich

Dawned on me that I think Vardy has never scored against these. Even in the 4-0 in that sorry season, it was Madders, Daka and Barnes, and can't recall a single one in Championship days either.

Pile on first goalscorer, it's written. :vardy:

Im sure he scored at their place way back, ran to the corner flag and stood over it in celebration.

I don't think there's a club we've played more than once that Vardy hasn't scored against

Yeah, 2014 Championship winning season, 2-2 at their place.

think it was also Riyads debut and he scored after a Kevin Phillips missed pen?

Just looked it up and you're right, he bagged in a 2-2 draw in the promotion season.

So it's been 10 years. No time like the present Jamie mate!

Not sure it was his debut think that was against Middlesborough, but it was defo his first goal for the club.

I think one of our remembrance fixtures was against these, with a 2-0 loss.

I think this was when Pearson went mental at their penalty.

Maybe I've got the wrong game actually. I thought it was when Whitbread conceded a penalty.

Cov unfortunately. I think if he did the banter would’ve taken another level.

No that was a 2-2 at the KP. Remember the game. We absolutely wiped the floor with them and they got a dodgy penalty after a perfectly good tackle by Zak Whitbread. I remember rightly it was an early kick off.

Ah yeah that's right.

My memories of Forest games under Pearson are not particularly great as we never seemed to get a positive results, aside from the 3-0 and 2-3.

Rodgers got hammered on our last visit to City Ground but, good grief, that 5-1 game under Pearson was horrific. I left the ground as soon as they got their third our fourth.

Well I put him in my fantasy league team last week because we were playing Southampton. I’m going to keep him in for this one in the hope it’s a positive omen

Another great question for the AI bot (I use CoPilot).

Yes, there is one club that Jamie Vardy has played against multiple times but hasn’t scored against: Middlesbrough. Despite facing them in the Premier League and Championship, he hasn’t managed to find the back of the net against them

Edit: Hang on. Didn't he score against them in the Championship?

Cooper’s time at City will be defined by this game regardless of result.

It will be a rotten game. They’ve ended up assembling one of the strongest centre back pairings in the league. They are now so Nuno as well - Ward-Prowse is Neves and Wood is Jimenez. Some of our games against Nuno Wolves were up there with the worst for entertainment going

Correct. I’ve just looked that game up and it was Anthony Taylor refereeing lol

It dawned on me recently… when’s the last time we haven’t conceded at least 2 goals in a game at the City Ground?

That 4-3 made Sky think matches between Leicester and Wolves would always be goal fests. Pretty sure they put our games on whenever they came around and always made reference to that game.
