Well when u give the opposition 3 goals through stupid passes or not passing the ball, to a team mate 3 metres away .
again we started the game by passing the ball backwards or side ways , there was no effort to go forward , the wingers were dreadful, came backwards more than going forward , I think we had less than 5-6 shoots on goal . Then at the end when forest brought on giants we tried to put the ball into them , this manager has no idea he needs to go before it’s too late .

We know what he could do.

The manager sees the players in training.its very unlikely  that he's less intelligent that our pundits on here. He's probably not keeping him out for spite. Simplest explanation is, he's not performing as well in training.

So why can’t he see that Justin isn’t performing well in games? lol

Groin injury.

Pity. I was worried pre match (not knowing he was out thro injury) that against a physical and quick forest team, we'd miss his aggression.

Our starting xi is pretty decent - low mid table - and tbh, first half, I was surprised how we quickly we rebooted the Enzo possession game.

But I say same every week, that fcking bench.

Maybe Ricardo's worse lol

They were perfectly sound. They played to their strengths well and they played some good stuff at times. As mentioned in the match thread, even Aina, whom I've never rated, completely bossed their right side.

They weren't that good, they played well yes, but we have absolutely handed them the chances.

Aina played well and kept Mavididi quiet.

But they weren't great, we handed them to opportunities

But he isn't. Not much went down Ricardos side today, I believe JJ was indirectly or directly involved in all 3 goals conceded.

The irony of the anti cooper out brigade being so delighted that we've lost, so they can tell the cooper out brigade that he did what we wanted and we were awful, is completely lost on me. 'cos I'm pissed.

I'm not sure it's as simple as that.

Today a lot of us got a team similar to the one we want, and it didn't click.

But then 1 shot on target isn't any worse than some of the games at the start of the season when we played the game with only one wide winger and one inside like Cooper had us playing before now.

The fact we've not been great either way, some of that blame has to land on the players, but some has to go to the manager too. We don't have the best first team in the league, no matter which team we play, so its unrealistic to expect us to win or even draw every game.

But we don't have an awful team either, and we should be creating more chances than we have been.

Formation and players are one aspect of the complex jigsaw, but the tactics we train on during the week, the mentality the manager should be installing, the pattern of play, the positioning, the urgency, the (to quote Puel) - intensity, all these are things the manager can be doing with the team to ensure we aren't looking so clueless.

When we get into the opposition's third we seem devoid of ideas on how to create meaningful chances (not all the time - we have bits of each game when we come to life) but can you name one game this season wheb we've played well for the full 90 minutes?

Can you name one game when we played well in both halves?

The second half against The Saints, the fact Cooper seems to be trying more attacking minded personal in the starting 11, these things are positive as far as I am concerned, but let's not overlook the negatives.

Poor subs, (Southampton match excluded) negative tactics at times (trying to see matches out for long periods of time and inviting pressure) ... the list goes on.

We've also been fortunate with some of the scorelines (even when we've lost, because Mads has been worldclass).

I'll get behind him for now, but I hope he continues to evolve his way of thinking and does it quickly, because football is about fine margins,, and we'll get punished if things don't improve.

Yep, all fair criticism, no problem with this thoughtful approach whatsoever.

It's the hate filled, damned whatever he does cos it's all his fault and deserves no credit for anything - mob, and it IS mob behaviour - that l have issue with.

I think the clear fact is we have a very mediocre squad, if he plays his strongest eleven then his options off the bench are few and so we either start slow and pick up or fade as we did tonight.

To me it's clear that our bench was devoid of even mediocrity tonight, Soumare even getting on it proves that, he is truly awful imao.

People have a false belief in many of our players, the academy lads are deeply underwhelming and frankly Coopers choices are extremely limited.

I'll keep the faith with him because as l keep saying, we have won games and are not in the zone.

Hello, we’re Leicester City and we’re sh*t! 👋🏼

Frustrating really because going into half time we were on top. Bizarre that we can’t seem to have any two halves of football somehow connected… feel as though the occasion somewhat forced Steve’s hand to pick the team (myself included) everyone wanted, but that kind of nullified us as soon as we were chasing the game. We’re an average - poor premiership side, a lot of it is expectation v acceptance!

We got schooled by a streetwise, physically stronger team. A routine defeat that simply happens in the PL every now and then..

The fact that it's that disgusting red filth who bossed us all over  I have  to put aside

Our players are a disgrace. Local derby and they look they don’t care.

I can’t stand Yates but at least he shows passion and determination.

I'm never delighted when we lose, unlike some people on here who have openly said they want us to lose so Cooper will get the sack.

I knew the simplistic solutions the Cooper out bunch were calling for were pie in the sky  and I knew that when they failed they blame Cooper. I'm just trying to teach some humility here. I'm wasting my time I know.

That must of been one hell of a team talk LOL.

Before I get battered, I want Cooper Out. Im sure he is a good man but its not the right fit for us. The fans arent with him, "his" signings have largely been shockers and players we would have bought maybe if we were a mid-table Championship club apart from Okoli and a great loan signing in Buonanotte are here, but I am uncomfortable even with this signing if we have no Buy option. I hope we dont become that club that has to get loans in as a Prem club FFS!! Anyway, I digress..

Now the "but". We got the attacking team selection most wanted by formation and players. Its a shame it didnt work as Ndidi carried on playing as an attacking midfielder too which left us woefully short in midfield. The first half we did well and gave as good as we got, but two attempts to clear by Buona and JJ were schoolboy basics attempts for their 1st, Winks giving the ball away for the 2nd, Faes/Mads all over the shop for the third. These are individual errors that you would hope to the 3 in 6 months not in one half of football. That isn't Coopers fault. I cant believe how flat we were, even our fans. We were out-sung from the get-go and really didnt get behind the lads to be honest. Maybe thats Cooper, maybe thats us anyway.

I think its best Cooper leaves and we get someone a bit more tactical, a bit more forward thinking and someone who we will get behind from the get-go.

Right. So Vestergaard getting shunted, what's the simplest explanation here?

BDR and Ayew jumping in front of the queue, despite Fatawu and Mavididi performing better in virtually every appearance?

Buonanotte being in and out despite being our top scorer and most dangerous player?

It's obvious that he has preferences and maybe even has personal issues with some of the players. I don't buy that it's down to training. We've countless examples of players being 'poor', 'uncommitted' or even absent from training and still delivering the goods during match days.

Ricardo, Mavididi, Fatawu and Vestergaard all have to earn some respect from Cooper by virtue of their pedigree and, truthfully, their performance levels too.

Fair enough. I think everyone is a bit fragile. Losing to Forest affects me far more than it ought to - and I haven't lived in the East Midlands for nearly 30 years.

Poor, poor goals to concede. All 3 preventable in some way. Forest deserved that win as they were organised and very well drilled.

Leicester - the opposite.

Isn’t that supposed to be Cooper’s strength?

It's a bit of both. We made mistakes for their goals, but they provoked them too. They would've scored even more if they took chances that they fashioned by themselves. I know they're Forest, but they did their job well and should get praise for that.

training and match fit are two very different things, don't be disingenuous

Was excited with the starting 11 and we saw glimmers of last season’s dominance on the ball.  - We tore through them Enzo-style for our goal.

Their 1st and 3rd were down to awful mistakes (even their 2nd came from our poor play out of the box).

Gutted we didn’t get something from it.

We looked mega desperate after their 3rd. I didn't think they massively out-played us with their quality.  But they are well-drilled, they don’t give much away, and they were very physical.

Ipswich is suddenly another massive game. We simply cannot lose it. If we do, surely Cooper has to go…
