I'd be more than happy with it. We don't need an exciting appointment, we need a conpetent one. Nuno wasn't an exciting appointment for Forest, but he's turned out to be ideal for them.

Any manager considering leicester would be thinking: a newly promoted team nearly went in to the top half of the table, but they lost, so they want rid of the manager..... OK.

Moyes would at the very least make us hard to beat and progress us. Did a brilliant job at West Ham, who incidentally aren’t exactly pulling up trees now …

Yes, then he took the job, and and booed off at Bristol having missed loads of chances, losing 1-0 and being top of the league. At the end of the season, he left. I think I would have done, as well.....

Just needs someone to steady the ship & give us an identity.

 

Wolves will have a turn in form, Palace will pick up points & Everton are Everton, the turd that won't flush.

 

I genuinely don't see three worse teams than Southampton, Ipswich & Us - Over the course of the season.

Only trouble is Villa were obviously ambitious to go and get Emery. Our board wouldn’t do it, they seem to stick to what they know/managers from this Country/managers with PL experience.

 

Massive shame because Villa have shown how to turn around a team with one great appointment.

I agree wish is so frustrating because there are better options abroad. Our board lumbered us with Cooper because of pl experience even though it’s pretty poor.  Look at Brighton and Bournemouth as well for getting better foreign managers with no previous pl experience.

Who are we going to get who’s better than Steven Cooper and actually wants to come to a premier league club with state of the art facilities and a good recent history that also has a fairly capable squad and 1 of the most iconic modern day footballers still here?

 

Honestly perspective is needed from a lot of you on this forum. Just accept mediocrity and be thankful we’ve got that at least!

I’m all for Moyes. He’ll tighten up at the back while keeping our forward threat. And look what he did at West Ham - you can see him us kicking on with him (can’t say that with Cooper).
