Many of our new signings look nowhere near it.

It was a clear continuation of all the issues we have been seeing with Cooper this season

 

Giving goals away due to our own mistakes

 

Conceding goals through play down our right hand side due to his lopsided high full back weirdo tactics

 

Subs being made way later than they should've been

 

Zero cohesive defensive structure

 

No real clear actual gameplan

 

Man Utd were still pretty shite tonight and put 5 past us, a side with a decent setup/structure would've ran that a lot closer even with a heavily rotated side

In a need of balance, compare that performance to our performance v Liverpool in the EFL Cup last season. Both were second strings
 

That was a shambolic mess whereas at Anfield we had a plan before it started to unravel

Even when we have good spells in games, we don't have the quality to score or have sustained pressure in terms of shots on goal. 

 

But we are defensively so fragile and weak. Can't go on conceding this many goals or at least this many chances each game, whichever squad is put out. 

 

Cooper's tactical frailties exposed once again and I can't see it changing any time soon. He has to go.

Comes to something when Soumare stands out as a positive. McAteer league one at best, Reid shouldn’t be playing professional football any more. JJ clearly given up trying to defend and wants to be a winger, Thomas can’t find his own player with a throw in let alone a pass. Rancid defending throughout.
