Bounanote is busting a gut for us. Stand out player so far in every way. Gonna take more than 1 player to win this game though

We've been poor aside from the first 10, but this ref is appalling. That was a red for Phillips, made no attempt to play the ball and elbowed FB in the back of the head. Constant giving soft free kicks, throw ins and corners gone against us that were blatantly wrong, Szmodics should have been booked in the first minute etc etc. I don't like Ipswich, regardless of the whole "you make your own luck" bollocks, they are one of the luckiest teams on the planet. Every ball bounces in their favour. They got incredible luck in both games last season and can see the same here. They will win by a ball bouncing off Delaps arse. Can see why Cooper has a touchline ban, he must be raging with the standard of officiating we've endured this season.

Our dominance seemed to subside about the time Buonanotte picked up the yellow card, lost the tenaciousness in winning the ball high up the pitch, and couldn't get out from the back anywhere near as much. Ricky also seemed to fade out of it.

 

It's a game of many little battles, both pairs of wingers isolating their full backs. Delap giving Faes a few digs, Hutchinson vs Kristiansen... fascinating stuff. Although I think with our reliance on the wings we need more control over the middle of the pitch. Wilf is having a great game aswell.

I think VK is winning his battle against Hutchinson which is decent as he’s been isolated a few times. On the ball he looks like he don’t kno where to go with it tho.

He's been closer to the level required than Ricardo in the last 3 years (championship doesn't count).

Mav and Fats look impressive coming on for the final 15 minutes, against tiring full backs, but seldom shine when they're on from the start.

Thought the defence have largely stood up well to that bullying tbf. Don’t think we’ve won a header from a long ball though so it just keeps coming back.

Goalkeeper aside, every single player has been appalling.

 

Some worse than others obviously, but in general - Appalling.

 

Fingers crossed one of our decent 45’s is coming now!

We are a poorly coached team, trying to play a brand of football that the players want, but the manager doesn't play. He was already a bad in game manager, not sure how he changes things when the tactics aren't even his.

They are fully there for the taking aswell, talent wise they are poor but at least they have a system that's drilled into them.

Surprised VK getting a roasting here. He has been a bit lax in possession on occasion but defensively he has kept Hutchinson at bay. 

 

Last 25 minutes of that was another disaster. Complete lack of composure and confidence to just put a foot on the ball, but then if you are hoofing it, at least try and challenge for 1st and 2nd balls. This actually might be a game for Ayew, and neither winger could have any complaint about being replaced.

Yea I agree our back 3 have competed physically thankfully! The rest look like little boys

It's a fascinating game. We look the more fluid in patches, they are bang up for it but lack finesse
