Might be wishful thinking but I'd hope we have someone lined up quickly. Reckon it'll be Potter or Moyes

As many have suggested, Cooper seems like a decent guy, but we have looked pretty awful most of this season, have out-performed  our stats and spawned a few points, despite our performances, and it's been clear that we have nothing approaching a game plan, other than sit back and soak it up.

Whoever comes in, if they have anything much about them, it can't be worse than what we've seen so far.

Strange timing as you'd think they'd have done it before the international break. Can't help but feel the players, or certain players, may have had a hand in this. If so, then good on them, sometimes the players need to stand up and make the people at the top known if things aren't right. Bad news for some of them though is that they may get binned pretty quick by a new manager if they don't improve performances soon

Vardy wasn’t happy yesterday when he came off was he!

I wonder if he went straight to Rudkin’s office 😂

I expect yesterday was a final straw.

Things were so bad, it was conceivable and wouldn’t have been unfair to sack Cooper during pre-season; had the Spurs game gone as it could of done, he might have gone then.

So Ben Dawson, former Newcastle first team coach taking training

I said a few days ago Ben Dawson has also been a technical director. So will be good at transitioning in a new team, maybe even making recommendations!

Look at the comments on the BBC article. Clueless idiots.

Yeah and we had 1 more point by this stage in 22/23, with Brendan Rodgers - a much better manager.

The idea that just surviving in the premier league is something you should be pleased with is a joke. We scraped points against a rubbish Southampton side and a borderline undeserved equaliser against Ipswich. Fans outside looking in just look at the table. 2 points above relegation, with teams around you doing better, is not "safe"

Transitioning from Maresca style to Potter would have made so much sense in the summer. Evolution rather than revolution. Not sure bringing him in to play with Skipp, BDCR, and Ayew would work as well.

Knew it was a sketchy appointment ever since his unveiling when we were a mere "pleased" to announce him.

10 matches wasted really. The signs were on the wall even during pre-season so could have been done much earlier

Surprised but grateful they've moved this quickly. Such a poor manager.

I wrote yesterday that they´d probably keep him for the season - that aged well :)

at this point lets just get someone with a big name that the players want to impress and actually play for to keep us up and big survival bonus and then review it at the end of season…. whats Mourinho up to? 🤣

I'm going to keep telling myself he was caretaker while nobody else wanted the job due to potential points deduction. Can't bring myself to accept he managed our club for four months.
