If they did sack Cooper without having a replacement lined up it smacks of the 'ready, fire, aim' approach this club has had in recent years. Long term it just doesn't work.

Whilst I'd usually agree.. Cooper was useless.. the players didn't seem to like him at all.. so we're generally better off managerless for a week or two than holding on to Cooper.

They've put some coaches in charge for a few weeks after getting rid of Coopers lot. Probably given the players a morale boost to be fair.

Graham Potter looks like his favourite band would be Embrace or Shed Seven, got a real Radio X dad look about him

Bloke will be too busy tweeting members of Leeds-based noughties four-piece The Music asking when those reunion gigs are happening to get back into management surely

Sacking Cooper without a replacement lined up isn’t ideal, but in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t make much of a difference if we stuck with him for another week or two until we did have someone lined up, then fired. He’s lost the fans, the dressing room and should never have been appointed in the first place. We may not pick up any points in the interim, but I’m convinced the players will be up for the challenge in the games we have coming up.

I’m just hoping for Moyes, we need a “steady the ship, experienced” manager right now to stabilise us as a team and a club, and he is the only one who has that pedigree.

“The club wouldn’t just sack a manager without anybody lined up”

Are the same people who have been wrong about Top, Rudkin and the board for about 3 years.

Rodgers had gone mouldy 18 months before his sacking and we still didn’t have anybody lined up.

The club is owned by a juvenile reactionary whilst his acolyte board do nothing to challenge him.

”He was never convinced by Cooper” in the same way his first game was the Middlesbrough league cup final.

I'd love to know what Potter is holding out for. Been out of work for a year and a half, the England job is no longer available and he's not getting a top Premier League job. I know we're not great at the minute but if he can keep us up this season, then suddenly the club is a decent prospect again.

Oh I agree with that. Cooper still had to go - and soon. But you would hope they'd have been more pragmatic about it - assuming reports of not having reached out to anyone specific are accurate.

Ok if they haven't spent the last few weeks getting ducks in a row ahead of the sacking then they've learned nothing. We pissed away games against Bournemouth and Villa last time because of this shit.

West Ham will offer Potter the job, as would Everton.

Was still getting paid by Chelsea until October this year, although I guess if he really wanted it he would of taken a job by now

It'll be Moyes then wont it

What's everyone's favourite Davie Moyes moment? Got to be when he threatened to wallop that cheeky female reporter

He probably just doesn't want to work for idiots again.

How do you know that? If they don't have someone lined up for Brentford and just using it as a free hit, I'd be even more mad than I am for the timing of this. Makes no sense without having someone else half way in Seagrave.
