You normally know these things right?

My ITK knowledge is limited to team news I’m afraidlol Sometimes get the other odd bit from a former member of coaching staff but that went dry since he left.

if its between Corberan and RVN then i guess it boils down to their tactics and style with our current set of players and potentially what needs adding in Jan to fit the style.

I dont do analysis but can someone confidently tell me who's profile fits our current set of players?

Carrick would strike me as a bit "getting out while on a high"

Been up and down for a long time but 4-1, 5-1, 6-2 is a great time to leave anywhere lol

Mind you I imagine he's been offered a few opportunities during his time at Boro.

Live in Cardiff now but from Cwmtillery which has sadly been on and in the news for the coal tip slide. Friends there affected by it. Where do you go?

Aberdare primarily.

If I was Carrick I'd stay at Boro and be an all-time legend for getting them promoted.

And he's from that neck of the woods, similar size club etc.

Wouldn't be averse to him coming here but can't see it.

Only time he’s really struggled was last year when their squad was torn to bits and injured, lost Morgan Rogers etc, think he’s arguably the best option out there

In KPs entire time on mangerial appointments, we have only appointed the early front runner once - Rodgers. We were organised, agreed a deal and then pull the trigger - Rodgers was the last manager Vichai chose - so he had the monkey's (Top, Whelan and Rudkin) organised.

Otherwise, we never appoint the front runners - interviews end up playing such a big part.

Sven sacked. Early front runners, O'neil and Billy Davies. Pearson then became the target after Vichai spoke with the players.

Pearson sacked. Neil Lennon and Harry Redknapp early front runners. Ranieri appointed after saying he wanted the job and got an interview.

Ranieri sacked - Shakespeare takesover after impressing in interim charge. Early favourites were Pardew, Mancini (who we approached) and Pearson making a return.

Shakespeare sacked. Early front runners - Guus Hiddink, Dyche, Chris Coleman, Big Sam, Carlo flipping Ancelotti (!). Puel hired.

Puel sacked - Rodgers early candidate but there were also rumours around Benitez.

Rodgers sacked. Benitez, Potter,  Marsch early front runners but Smith hired as no one else wanted it.

Smith leaves. Early favourite was Scott Parker but Enzo was on the list as an option.

If the club had a candidate who is no longer a candidate (which I actually think is the case - someone has told us no), we wont see someone in until later in the week (at best) and there is a very high possibility it wont be who is on the bookies list now.

Don't neccesserily disagree, but take the last 3 out of it, he had 2 wins in 9 leaking goals.

Mad league though.

I'd argue Enzo was a front-runner all along. Apparently we tried to get him when we sacked Rodgers (as did Southampton when they sacked Jones) but he wanted to see the treble-winning season out with Man City.

Infuriates me that like Rodgers, Cooper will not have a relegation on his CV if we go down.

Little bit different 11-12 games into a season for me.

Rodgers is absolutely culpable for our relegation and that I'd agree with.

Wouldn't you be furious if you got sacked after 12 games, the team weren't in the bottom three, they then got relegated and you got blamed? I would be!

@Ric Flair , is Sem Steijn any good? same agent as RVN.

I looked at him last season as his numbers were insane. Think the consensus is he's got a few imitations such as a lack of pace that might prevent him playing at the very highest level. I'll look again.

Cooper was sacked after 12 games when we were out of the relegation zone. Getting rid of him was 100% the right decision, but if we go down at the end of the season it won't be on him.
