Literally not the case at all. Cooper was wanted by so many on here because he was pragmatic and didn't play free flowing attacking football "because that wouldn't work in the prem".

 

Also Steve Cooper never had any experience with England's first team who themselves who have worked under top managers stated that Carsley's training was "refreshing and exciting" again something that's not been stated under Cooper.

 

Admittedly is media ability was garbage but you don't know how much the FA have limited him on what he could or couldn't say. 

 

To say someone wouldn't "inspire" our crop of players is such a dumb comment, as someone that used to play myself I couldn't care how big of a name the person was all that mattered was that it made sense on the training ground and got you excited, if you have that you'll be inspired.

Silence on Ruud today is defeating, really expected the media to ramp up with it. Makes you wonder.


But for the record, Carsley is ****ing brilliant. His style of play and ideas of football shit on everyone we’ve been linked to. The England players have loved the last few camps with him. To compare what we’ve seen during the last international breaks to Stevie Cooper ball is absolutely incredible 😂

 

His media managing skills are another matter mind.

 

But I don’t think you all need to unjustifiably get your knickers in a twist anyway, I don’t think the bloke wants to be a senior club manager, he very much likes just coaching and developing young players by the looks of it, or he’d of made more of a play for the senior England job than he did in the press.
