Our managerial appointments are literally pulled out of a bag.

Zero long term vision or plan.

A young ambitious manager….. what is zero long term vision about that?

Seems like he could play 3 atb with the inverted full back coming into midfield, shame Ricardo is now injured.

I’ve seen it more that one FB tucks into CB the other pushes up to the wing allowing the winger on that side to become a 10. For us that’s either VK as LW and Mavididi inside or JJ  as RW and you’d guess Buononatte inside. Then out of possession it’s a compact 442. Either way shame for Ricardo and you’d expect a FB to be on the shopping list in January.

12 years ago today Vardy got his 12 consecutive goals.....

And who did he beat.....

If they don't announce Ruud along the lines of he's come to get his record back I'll be so upset 🤣

Heskey’s facial expression in your avatar sums up this post!

Ruud runs special finishing sessions for the strikers. Looking forward to video of Jamie watching that. Vardy to break record again this year, just to show Ruud how to do it!

Just reading about the fallout at PSV and really doesn't sound great at all. Hope there was a lot more to that or it's a load of rubbish, otherwise that's quite concerning.

Left because he felt he wasn't getting support from the Club......seems a man of principle!

anyone is a gamble at this point, moyes and potter would have been more expensive, we would have had to pay for coberan, why not got for the gamble on the cheaper option, might as well go with the guy thats got something to prove and then profit on the buyout when he inevitably dumps us for chelsea. good luck Ruud.

Interesting that he’s had to manage twice against us recently - and seen pretty much the whole squad playing.

that means he’ll have done some work on our players strengths and weaknesses (and I promise you that he wasn’t unaware of our interest in him replacing cooper in the near future).

i would  hope that he will have a fair idea of who and how he wants to play on Saturday (if he’s announced today).  If it’s tomorrow then unlikely he can take charge for Brentford and it will have to wait for West Ham.

Fair points.

He'll get my backing as any manager does. As I say, I literally have no opinion on him. Aside from PSV improving after he left there's absolutely nothing to go on.

So I refuse to fall into the trap of emptying my sac because someone who looks relatively sexy and used to be class at scoring goals has become our manager.

My main point is, would anyone be happy about this appointment if he hadn't played for Man U. I have my doubts :D

However, he did play for Man U., when they were in their pomp.  He can hardly fail to have absorbed some of the successful training and management methods whilst there!

Does seem to be a bit ironic that we could be announcing Ruud as our new manager exactly 9 years ago to the day that Vardy broke his record

Probably not a positive. You’ll struggle to find one of that Ferguson team whom been a decent manager
